BN College of Nursing celebrated Teachers’ Day 2026 on 25th August 2026 with a programme dedicated to honouring and appreciating the valuable contribution of its teachers. The celebration brought together the management, faculty members, and students in an atmosphere of gratitude and respect.
The programme commenced with an opening song presented by Lalroulahi, VII Semester B.Sc. Nursing. This was followed by addresses from Dr. ZR. Thiamsanga (Ex-MLA), Chairman of BN Foundation Society and Founder of BN College of Nursing; Dr. Joseph Lalhmingthanga, Chief Executive Officer, BN College of Nursing; and Prof. Ruth Lalhmingthang, Ph.D. , Principal, BN College of Nursing.Their words highlighted the significant role of teachers in educating, mentoring, guiding, and inspiring future nursing professionals.
A special felicitation of the teachers was organised by the Management and students as a gesture of appreciation for their dedication, commitment, guidance, and service to the institution and its students. The occasion also featured special performances, including a musical presentation by Ms. Rinhluí Tlumang and a special item by the BNCON Drama Club, adding joy and warmth to the celebration.
The Teachers’ Day celebration provided a meaningful opportunity to express heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers for their continuous efforts in shaping students academically, professionally, and personally. The programme concluded on a positive and memorable note, strengthening the bond of respect and appreciation between teachers and students.

BN College of Nursing had the privilege of celebrating Freshers’ Day on 25th August 2026 at the BN College of Nursing Multipurpose Hall,marking a memorable occasion of gratitude, appreciation, fellowship, and new beginnings.
The programme brought together the management, esteemed faculty members, and students to honour the invaluable dedication and contribution of teachers while extending a warm and gracious welcome to the 7th Batch B.Sc. Nursing (2026–2031)as they begin their journey with the BN College of Nursing family.
The celebration commenced with an opening song by Lalroulahi, VII Semester B.Sc. Nursing, followed by inspiring speeches from Dr. ZR. Thiamsanga (Ex-MLA), Chairman of BN Foundation Society and Founder of BN College of Nursing; Dr. Joseph Lalhmingthanga, Chief Executive Officer, BN College of Nursing and Prof. Dr. Ruth Lalhmingthang, Ph.D. , Principal, BN College of Nursing.
The programme was enriched by a series of special numbers and special items, including a performance by Ms. Rinhluí Tlumang and a special presentation by the BNCON Drama Club.The vibrant performances added joy and enthusiasm to the celebration.
The highlight of the occasion was the Introduction of the Freshers, formally welcoming the new students into the BN College of Nursing community. The freshers were felicitated by the
I Semester B.Sc. Nursing Class Coordinators, Ms. Anita Shrestha and Ms. Malsawmpuii followed by another special number by Ms. Rinhluí Tlumang and a lively performance by the BNCON Dance Crew.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Zothantluangi Chinzah, III Semester B.Sc. Nursing expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration.
The occasion beautifully reflected the values of respect, gratitude, unity, friendship, and professional growth ,making it a memorable beginning for the newest members of the BN College of Nursing family.

A mock drill was conducted at BN College of Nursing on 24th August 2026 by the Disaster Management & Rehabilitation Department.
A short introduction on disaster preparedness was given to the students and staff. The importance of being prepared and responding calmly during disasters was explained.
This was followed by a practical demonstration of disaster response and safety measures. The participants actively observed and took part in the drill.

HIV/AIDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN CUM COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CHECK-UP
An HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign cm Comprehensive Health Check-Up was conducted in BN College of Nursing by the Mizoram State AIDS Control Society (MSACS )with the aim of promoting health awareness, prevention, and early detection among students and faculty members.
As part of the campaign, free HIV and Tuberculosis (TB) testing was provided to all students and faculty members. The programme highlighted the importance of regular health screening, early diagnosis, prevention, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
The campaign carried the message:
“GET TESTED. KNOW YOUR HIV STATUS. JOIN THE FIGHT.”
The initiative served as an important platform to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis and encouraged students and faculty members to take proactive steps towards their health and well-being.

BN College of Nursing successfully organized an Awareness Programme on Sexual Harassment on 31st July 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall. The session, themed Sexual Harassment was delivered by Mrs. Lisa Lalparmawii, LLM, Advocate, who provided valuable insights into workplace rights, legal provisions, prevention strategies, and the importance of fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
The programme empowered students and faculties with essential knowledge to recognize, prevent, and respond to sexual harassment while promoting dignity, equality, and mutual respect in both academic and professional settings.

17th and 18th July ,2026
A two-day Nursing Research Workshop was successfully conducted on 17–18 July 2026, providing participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in nursing research. The workshop covered the research process, sampling techniques, data collection, literature review, biostatistics, SPSS, research data interpretation, and scientific manuscript writing through expert lectures, hands-on sessions, and interactive group activities.
The sessions were led by Mr. Badondor Shylla, National Consultant, National Health Mission (NHM), who shared his expertise and guided participants in developing research competencies essential for evidence-based nursing practice. The workshop concluded with a post-test and evaluation, reinforcing participants' learning and encouraging quality research in nursing.

The 4th Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of BN College of Nursing undertook an educational visit to the Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Centre , Aizawl , Mizoram ,as part of their academic curriculum and learning objectives. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for students to gain firsthand knowledge of disaster preparedness, emergency response mechanisms, risk reduction strategies, and rehabilitation services provided to affected individuals and communities.
Through interactive sessions and field observations, the students were able to enhance their understanding of the crucial role of healthcare professionals in disaster management and recovery processes. The experience bridged the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, fostering greater awareness, preparedness, and professional competence in handling disaster-related situations.

We are delighted to announce the excellent performance of our students in the Mizoram University 8th Semester B.Sc. Nursing Examination 2026.
Out of the 24 students who appeared for the examination, all passed, achieving a 100% pass rate.

With hearts full of gratitude and cherished memories, BN College of Nursing proudly organized a Farewell Programme in honor of the 3rd Batch B.Sc. Nursing Students (2022–2026)
The programme began with Bible reading and prayer, followed by inspiring speeches, prayers of blessing for the outgoing students, and special performances by students and various college clubs. The occasion was graced by respected dignitaries, faculty members, and students who shared words of encouragement, appreciation, and best wishes for the graduating batch.
A highlight of the event was the felicitation of the outgoing students, recognizing their dedication, perseverance, and achievements throughout their nursing journey. The celebration also featured drama, dance performances, a video showcase, and special musical presentations, making the day memorable and meaningful for everyone present.

BN College of Nursing celebrated International Nurses Day with great dignity and enthusiasm under the theme, *“Our Nurses, Our Future: Empowered Nurses Save Lives.”* The programme was graced by Chief Guest Prof. C. Lalfamkima Varte, Dean, School of Medical and Paramedical Sciences, Mizoram University
The celebration commenced with Bible reading and prayer, followed by the unfolding of the theme and presentation of the college report by Principal Prof. Dr. Ruth Lalhmingthangi. The programme also featured cultural dance performances by students, inspiring speeches by the Chief Guest, Founder of BN College of Nursing Dr. ZR Thiamsanga (Ex-MLA), and CEO Dr. Joseph Lalhmingthanga. A meaningful skit on nursing and a solo performance by Miss Rinhluii Tlumang added color and significance to the occasion, making the celebration a memorable tribute to the dedication and service of nurses.
