A few days ago, I got a DM from Miss Tanisha Saxena, The New Indian Express, who’s working on a story about astro-tourism, astrophotography, stargazing and more. I suppose she came across my Instagram profile where I’ve mentioned my passion for astronomy and astrophotography.

We had a nice conversation, and I shared with her how Mizoram is truly a paradise for stargazers — with its clear winter skies, minimal light pollution, and countless perfect spots where the stars and even the Milky Way are visible to the naked eye.

It also brought back many wonderful memories from the days I was deeply immersed in observing the heavens. I often organized small stargazing gatherings when I was posted in Lunglei — driving out of town with my amateur telescope, a Celestron 130 EQ, chasing the beauty of the night sky.

Here, I’d like to share a few of memories and my astrophotography shots taken during those unforgettable nights under the stars. ✨🌌
