The college conducted a student excursion to visit several places in Kolkata from February 27 to March 5, 2026.

Cleanliness Drive at Heritage site
The students of Sixth Semester conducted a cleanliness drive at Loch House on 10.03.2026.
Loch House, constructed by Lt Col G.H. Loch in 1892, is a significant heritage building which served as the Commandant’s residence of the Assam Rifles.
The programme was organised with the aim of promoting cleanliness and preserving the historical importance of the site.

CONDOLENCE MEETING
The students of Sixth Semester deeply mourn the sad demise of Mr. Jacob Lalfinga (56), who passed away on 17th April, 2026. He was the beloved father of Ms. Linda Lalsangpuii, Assistant Professor, Department of History, Govt. T. Romana College, Aizawl.
A condolence meeting was convened on 27.04.2026 in the department of History, to express heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family

IV Carolin Laldinsangi Memorial Lecture
The IV Carolin Laldinsangi Memorial Lecture has been organised by the Department of History on 19.09.2025( Friday) at RUSA Hall, Govt. T. Romana College.
The programme was chaired by Dr Benjamin Ralte, Associate Professor. Dr Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, Principal delivered welcome speech and Mr Tommy Remchhunga, son of Carolin Laldinsangi has donated a number of books belonged to her late mother to the department.
Prof. O. Rosanga, a retired Professor, had delivered a lecture on “ The empire of Tea and the annexation of Mizoram”.
Prof. Malsawmliana, Head of the department delivered vote of thanks.
Caroline Laldinsangi was the former head and faculty in the department of History who passed way in 2019.
