We're thrilled to unveil the upcoming Waste Reduction Hackathon, a flagship event presented by the collaboration of the Mizoram Pollution Control Board and the National Institute of Technology Mizoram. Get ready to embark on a journey of innovation and sustainability like never before!

As global concern for waste management grows, it's time to address this challenge head-on. Unmanaged waste poses risks to both health and ecosystem. It's crucial to emphasize the responsible handling, treatment, and recycling of waste to minimize adverse effects.

Driven by the vision of transforming waste into wealth and promoting a circular economy, the Waste Reduction Hackathon aims to tap into technology, design, and social innovation to craft a more sustainable future , mainly focusing on waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and community education.

Themes for the Hackathon:
- E-waste management
- Solid waste management
- Bio-Medical waste management
- Waste-water Treatment

Categories:
- Category I: Open to all undergraduate students and above
- Category II: (App/Web Development) Open to all undergraduate students and above
- Category III: Class XII students from Mizoram

Important Notes:
- Participants can compete individually or form teams of up to five members.
- Registration deadline: August 25, 2023.
- Inter-college teams are welcome.
- Each individual or team is allowed only one nomination.

Are you passionate about a particular theme or topic, such as Cyber crime, Drug trafficking, Human trafficking, Crime reporting and City traffic management? This is your chance to showcase your ideas and compete with fellow members for a chance to win amazing prizes!
Here are the details of the competition:

How to participate:
