General manager - Female
Primary duties: A general manager of a gym oversees the core operations of the facility to ensure all staff members provide outstanding customer service to members and that the gym continues to thrive financially. They oversee the onboarding of all new employees and develop training programs for different roles. General managers set growth goals, develop strategies to meet the needs of the business, manage the budget and create policies.
Primary duties: A yoga instructor is responsible for instructing individuals and groups in a yoga routine. They teach general yoga techniques like stretching, intentional breathing and specific poses, and may also guide their class in meditation and mindfulness. Yoga instructors build positive relationships with clients and develop rapport to reinforce learning through guided practices.
Group fitness instructor
Primary duties: A group fitness instructor leads and coaches gym members through group fitness classes. They may instruct class participants in a variety of classes that often differ in ability requirements and intensity levels. Group fitness instructors create their own workouts for the class, select music, practice their routines before the scheduled program and develop alternative movements for members who need additional assistance. Conduct Zumba, Aerobics, Spinning, yoga, Pilates etc.
Primary duties: A personal trainer motivates their clients to meet their fitness goals. They may develop programs that help clients lose weight, get stronger or improve a certain physical condition. They assess a client's needs, skill level and abilities and make sure their client performs fitness routines that keep them safe from injury. Personal trainers also monitor their clients' progress and adjust their program based on certain milestones that the client may meet. It's common for personal trainers to train individuals or host small groups of people who are in search of more generalized training.
