The Simple Skills Project
Session: Knowing Birds Around You
Held on: 6th June, 2020

The session conducted by Mr. Prakshal Mehta, co-founder- WAY (World Aroud You), gave some amazing unknown insights to the World of Birds to the young children.
Starting with the question- Why do you love birds, the session had gained all attention since the beginning itself. Along with understanding the do's and don'ts, children were taken to a beautiful Virtual Bird Watching, where they were shown how to identify a bird through its features and behavior.
At the end, children were asked to draw the beaks of various birds the saw, and they did a splendid job in it.
The best result of the session was children gaining more interest in birds and promising to give water to them everyday.

Environment Day is celebrated on June 5, annually to encourage awareness and environmental protection.
According to the United Nations "This day's celebration provides us with an opportunity to broaden the basis for an enlightened opinion and responsible behavior by individuals, businesses , and communities in preserving and enhancing the environment."

The theme of World Environment 2020 is 'celebrating biodiversity' — a concern that is both urgent and existential.
The fact is, the current environmental crisis is a warning that we collectively need to heed. Our relationship with the living world, with natural environments and their biodiversity must now be profoundly rethought.

"Balance is not something you find.
It is something you create."

Photos from another Online Session conducted by Respire Experiential Learning, where children played the Balancing Game.
We were astonished looking at their creativity, where they used so many different materials to balance things out.

A pandemic that has taken over the world in its hands, is spreading like a wild-fire everywhere, especially in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
There are several mandatory precautions that are to be taken for safety, given by the Government of India-

1. Wash your hands with soap and/or sanitizer.
2. Wear a mask.
3. Maintain distance with everyone.
4. STAY AT HOME

While following these, kids at home are putting their creativity forward and bringing awareness.
So, Respire Experiential Learning has started conducting Online Sessions for schools, which keeps the children engaged and try new activities sitting at home.

Here are some pictures of our Online STEM Session, where students made DIY Masks with the materials they had at home- handkerchiefs, paper, a regular cloth, etc.

So what's your reason for not wearing one?
