The world of electric vehicles is charging ahead with extended ranges, better styling and falling prices. Ford Motor Co. announced plans at the beginning of the year about its work on “vehicle electrification” in the coming years. Among their plans is a pure EV SUV with a driving range of 482 km (300 miles) by 2020. With this kind of range, you could drive from New York to Washington D.C. on a single charge and still have miles left to drive around the city.
