This zest and love for nation is shared by every soldier who fights for India, the foundations of which were laid by the great freedom fighters: Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on 23rd March, 1931. Ever since, this day marks the 'Shahid diwas' or Martyrs' day in India.

It was rightly said by G.K.Chesterton, " A true solider fights not because of what is in front of him but because he loves what is behind him."

Take a moment and think, how much courage does this act of self sacrifice takes? Will we remotely be able to do what they do for us? In fact, what would mother India do without her brave sons?

Let's come together and celebrate the martyrdom of these eminent freedom fighters who are embodied in the blood of Every Indian.

For we are indebted to their sacrifices, forever...

Forever together

It is an annual Techno-cultural Fest’ organized by Mechanical Engineering Students’ Association (MESA), under the aegis of Mechanical Engineering Department, Institute of Technology, Nirma University witnessed a grand inauguration by Shri Manohar Parrikar, Hon’ble Minister of Defence, India and Shri Vijay Rupani, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Gujarat.
The President of Nirma University, Dr. Karsanbhai Patel, welcomed the honorable guests. Inspiring public addresses were delivered by Shri Manohar Parrikar and Shri Vijay Rupani.
The audience were apprised of the ethos and activities of Indian Army by Maj. Gen. S. K. Prashar, VSM, GOC, 11INF DIV. The Indian army displayed their magnificent artillery and mighty war techniques under “Know Your Army” campaign including a mesmerizing performance of the Army Band and Gurkha soldiers performing a victory dance alongwith various exhibition stalls.
The event PRAVEG includes a plethora of technical competitions and workshops from the field of robotics, automobile engineering and many more activities. Apart from this, other literary events such as elocution, debate, youth parliament, etc. are also included. Moreover, with an aim to raise the awareness among the youth regarding the various government initiatives and enabling them to utilize the initiatives better, pertinent events have been planned on the lines of Make in India Program, Accessible India, etc.
