Students of IAPNU designed and fabricated, furniture and interactive educational installation for a creche being run for children of construction workers at Shilaj. The creche called 'Fulwadi' is being managed by the Capstone group and NGO Aajeevika Bureau at Beaumonde project site in Shilaj. Students of Sem-II and IV took part in this activity as part of a Value Added Course and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. After visiting the creche site on 20th Feb. and understanding the requirements of the stakeholders, students designed the furniture and installation during KALP'26 and donated it on 18th Apr. Scrap PVC plumbing pipes and wooden pieces were recycled and reused innovatively for making a cradle, bench, play equipment, tables, swing and an installation which helps children in learning numbers. Prof. Dr. Rekha Chandran Jetty's constant support inspired students and Ar. Jitendra Menghani's guidance helped them in the process of converting their ideas to manifested designs in the pursuit of this noble cause.
