Eco Green Vehicle Challenge 2018
Combustion to Conservation...

Energy is vital to our daily lives. Over the coming decades, more people will gain access to energy and enjoy higher standards of living. At the same time, climate change remains a serious concern. Eco green Vehicle challenge(EGVC) represents the quantum leap taken by the L.D College of Engineering to nurture and encourage the concept of environmental sensitivity and development of positive environmental attitudes in the community.

After the grand success of EGVC 2014 and EGVC 2017 L. D. College of Engineering has come again with EGVC 2018. EGVC is an inter-collegiate competition that challenges degree and diploma students from all over the India to design, build, test and drive an environment friendly, efficient and reliable human powered vehicle to foster the green growth. The aim of the competition is to provide an opportunity for engineering students to demonstrate application of sound engineering principles. EGVC provides students an opportunity to tackle real world engineering problems, work in multidisciplinary teams, practice design for manufacturability and manage a full product development cycle of life.

The SAE LDCE CLUB is pleased to invite you to become a member of our club. Your knowledge and skills would be an asset for our club. SAE Club is a technical club for students enhancing their communication and practical skills. A Collegiate club is a nursery of equalities in student members evaluating knowledge enrichment & networking with industry professionals. It provides continuity to engineering education and provides exposure to industrial operating environment and working conditions.

The club organizes various seminar(competition orientation program), workshops (Engine Assembly and Dis-assembly, Automotive Mechanics and IC Engines)and industrial visits(ARAI-Automotive Research Association of India, BRTS Workshop, ST Workshop ) related to automotive field which enhances the concepts of sound engineering.
The SAE Ldce club now welcomes fresh enthusiasts from all departments to be a part of the club. An introductory seminar is arranged as per the following schedule.

Hello Friends, how's your week? Today let's talk a little about Wheel alignment. Everyone goes for wheel alignment of their car after certain period. Do you know what exactly it is? Let's get some basic idea about it.

What is Wheel Alignment?
Wheel alignment, sometimes referred to as breaking or tracking, is part of standard automobile maintenance that consists of adjusting the angles of wheels so that they are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the ground. The purpose of these adjustments is to reduce tire wear, and to ensure that vehicle travel is straight and true (without "pulling" to one side). Alignment angles can also be altered beyond the maker's specifications to obtain a specific handling characteristic.

How it is measured?
A camera unit (sometimes called a "head") is attached to a specially designed clamp which holds on to a wheel(you can see it in photos). There are usually four camera units in a wheel alignment system (a camera unit for each wheel). The camera units communicate their physical positioning with respect to other camera units to a central computer which calculates and displays. Technician gets final status of wheel alignment on desktop and if it is not as company specification then he fix it by tightening and loosening bolt on Tie rode.

EGVC - ""Eco Green Vehicle Challenge"" 2014 was the competition organized for the futurists’ diploma-degree performing UG programs to give them a platform to implement their sound engineering skills to design and build an eco green vehicle taking into consideration various environment safety issues.Various teams from all over India worked out their design and manufactured vehicles based on different concepts to bring about a change in the automotive eco vehicle industry.
