What comes to our minds when we hear the word ‘Assessment’? Often we think of it as pen and paper tests. However, this is not true. Assessments are more than just tests. It can be in different forms and it can be helpful in developing higher-order thinking skills in learners. Assessments designed by us focus on the practical aspects of the learned concepts, wherein the learners are required to apply the gained knowledge and think critically.

Sonam Wangchuk is a Ladakh-based engineer and genius who has truly revolutionised the way we look at learning and education! Mr Wangchuk is also an educational reformist and an environmental activist and the founder of the Students’ Educational and Cultural Movement in Ladakh which he started in 1988. Bringing skill-based and learning-oriented education in Ladakh, Mr Wangchuk has transformed the educational sphere to help children find engaging ways to learn and soar towards better employability.
At Ed-Equity (https://www.ed-equity.org), creators and researchers are on a path of transforming traditional classroom-based learning into experiential learning. Every child has different abilities and we try to shape or bring out those through our interactive and application-based curriculum. It includes innovative projects, games, and activities for different subjects. Thus, helping a child to leave behind the boundaries and find his/her own territory.
