What is Cosmology?
This week, Ahmedabad University heads to Chennai, visiting schools to converse with young minds about the universe, its mysteries, and where we fit in.

The biggest takeaway from my undergraduate journey is a commitment to pursue a goal and see it through, no matter the challenges reflected aptly in my capstone project,” says Ashka.
Ashka shares that her capstone project on designing market development strategies for BBEAL in urban markets was the perfect crescendo to the end of this journey. It was a natural extension of my summer internship and a testament to the real-world application of our learning.

Read as Shriya shares her journey at Ahmedabad University, filled with incredible experiences:
"I wasn't sure which fish I liked, so I dived into the ocean."
That's exactly what my university years were like.
Everyone tells you to "follow your passion" - but what if you're still discovering it?
This is where Ahmedabad University became my testing ground:
→ Managed college events & fests to understand real-world operations
→ I took up a marketing internship while majoring in finance (talk about contrast!)
→ Took classes on Literature & Theatre because the actor and reader in me needed a stage
→ Worked on a multi-dimensional graduation project (only to discover I hate research)
→ Finally fell in love with Sales & Marketing in my last year
And the best part?
Every new project introduced me to new people - seniors, juniors, professors, and industry experts.
Each connection opened a new door, each conversation sparked a new idea.
The beauty of graduation?
You get to try everything before picking your specialty.
I remember juggling between managing college festivals and running social media campaigns. Some projects failed, others clicked.
I drowned so many times in this journey, but thanks to Prof. Kunal M. and Prof. Siddhartha Saxena who threw me the perfect lifeline each time.
Today, as a sales strategist at a start-up, I use bits from everything I learned.
Those 4 years weren't just about finding my path.
They were about exploring every path until I found the one that felt right.
Sometimes you need to swim in different waters before you find your ocean.
And sometimes, the people you meet along the way become your biggest strength.
P.S.: Plot twist - I still don't have it all figured out! But university taught me the most important lesson: how to confidently dive into new waters. And sometimes, that's all you need :)

Hi, I am Vanshi Ketan Pathak, a 4th year student at Ahmedabad University pursuing a BA (Honours) majoring in Social and Political Science.
I enjoy reading thriller/mystery novels, contemporary dancing, baking sweet treats, cafe-hopping with friends, and learning new things by taking up new challenges.
I chose Ahmedabad University because of its interdisciplinary approach, experienced faculty, and strong mentorship. The university offers innovative pedagogy, global exposure, and valuable research opportunities. I particularly liked the case-based learning, experiential projects, and emphasis on problem-solving, which allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges.
The University has a number of partnerships with international universities that provide students with valuable immersion programmes. I had the opportunity to participate in a student immersion programme at Lingnan University, Hong Kong. This experience helped me understand different political and social issues and allowed me to explore new cultures and fields of study.
Beyond academics, the campus is always brimming with student-led clubs and societies that foster personal and professional growth. I am proud to be part of Guroor - The Q***r Collective, where we organize events and discussions to raise awareness and create a supportive environment for the LGBTQ+ community. Here, every voice is valued, and everyone finds their place.
