The powerful theme of 2025, reminds us that nurses are not just the heart of healthcare, we are the backbone of strong society and growing economies,when the world invest for the wellbeing of the nurses that build community and stronger nation.
Nurses works day and night often under great stress to care for the sick/ comfort the suffering and support the family.
This year theme highlight the importance of supporting nurses by giving them safe work place ,fair-pay,emotional support and opportunities to grow.
When nurses are care for they can give their best to patients and that leads to better health care systems and a stronger community.

As part of their Community Health Nursing posting, Semester-5 students from JG College of Nursing actively participated in a TB and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Screening Camp. The event was conducted under the guidance of the Medical Officer of New Gota and the faculty members of JG College of Nursing.
Objectives of the Camp
To screen individuals for Tuberculosis (TB) and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases.
To raise awareness about early detection, prevention, and management of these health conditions.
To provide students with hands-on experience in community health nursing.
The participation of JG College of Nursing students in the TB and NCD screening camp was a valuable learning experience and a meaningful contribution to community health. Under the guidance of medical professionals and faculty, the students played a crucial role in promoting early diagnosis and disease prevention. Such initiatives reinforce the importance of community-based healthcare services and practical training for nursing students.

“On World Tuberculosis Day, the First-Year P.B. B.Sc. Nursing students at Shalby Hospital organized an impactful exhibition to raise awareness about TB! Under the guidance of Dr Nikita Rajguru ( MBBS, MD pulmonary medicine)
Mrs. Santosh Nayi( nursing superintendent at shalby hospital) and faculties of JG College of Nursing 🩺✨ Through creative posters and informative presentations, they educated visitors on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of tuberculosis. Their enthusiasm and dedication highlighted the importance of working together to achieve a TB-free world. 🌍💪

Thermal Breast Screening Camp was organised for faculties at JG College of Nursing on
Date: 05/02/2025
in association with Shalby Hospital to promote awareness and for early detection of breast health issues with the aim to provide a non-invasive, radiation-free screening using thermal imaging technology.
A team of experienced doctors and technicians from Shalby Hospital conducted the screening.
Thermal imaging technology was used to detect early signs of abnormalities.
20 faculties availed the screening services.
The camp successfully enhanced awareness about breast health among faculties and emphasized the importance of early detection. The collaboration with Shalby Hospital ensured high-quality screening and medical guidance.
Participants appreciated the initiative and expressed interest in regular screening programs in the future.
This initiative aligns with our commitment to women’s health and well-being, and we look forward to organizing more such health awareness programs.
