Stories in Stone
Through this exhibition, Dhiman Sengupta explores geometric patterns inspired by Jules Bourgoin’s 1879 book Les Éléments de l’Art Arabe, while drawing connections to similar motifs found in Indian architecture. Using hand-drawn works, digital illustrations, photography, and animation, the project reflects on how these patterns continue to move across cultures, spaces, and histories.
