The event is conceived as a fundraising event on a format similar to Multi-Culti and aspires to reach out to alumni outside Ahmedabad. The Presenters are a cross-section of Architects and Practitioners from all over the country and also in the field of education.

It is an INVITE ONLY event where in FA Alumni and FA Students, members of ISOLA, IUDI and other local design professionals are invited. Registrations will be at venue on the event day.

An exhibition based on the book - 'The Architecture of Hasmukh C. Patel: Selected Projects 1963-2003', authored by Catherine Desai and Bimal Patel will be held tomorrow, 11 September at the Newman Hall (Premal Jyoti) from 12pm to 2pm.

Hasmukh Patel was among the group of people who have nurtured CEPT in its infancy. He started as a visiting faculty in the 1960’s while setting up his practice and served as Hon. Director, School of Architecture from 1972 to 1982. He also headed the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (now CEPT University) as its Dean from 1978 to 1983.

The exhibition, which showcases his significant projects between 1963 and 2003, will continue at the Paritosh Gallery from 14 September to 4 October from 10 am to 7 pm.

Morning Activities - Hike Khamsum Yulley, Raft Lower Mo Chhu
After Lunch Activities - Punakha Dzong, Nunnery, Visit an Aman property in Punakha (Thanks to Tanuj Goenka & Ujjwala Naik-Goenka for arranging this visit). Evening free time & dinner at hotel.

5th Sept: Punakha –Haa (09:00 am-05:00 pm)
Morning Activities - Drive from Punakha – Haa

FAAA ARCHITECTURE QUIZ RELOADED!!!

FAAA Architecture Quiz, a first National Level Architecture Quiz for students which will be held on 4th Feb 2017 at CEPT University. Schools from across India are invited to participate in this quiz.

Outline
There is something captivating about facts. Facts connect together make ideas, generate concepts. Architecture as a profession requires architects to possess an entire range of skills and aptitude to inform their design decisions that creates architecture. It is this aptitude that we would like to share and sharpen to be better architects/ designers.

The FAAA Architecture Quiz [FA4Q] is an attempt to nurture the ideal of continual learning through competing. The premise of the quiz is our shared legacy of knowledge that what we call ‘Architecture’. The quiz enhances the pleasure of knowing facts while discussing ideas. It helps one become more articulate on the topic at hand. FA4Q also works toward strengthening the interaction between students of Architecture among various institutions. The quiz aimed at pushing the envelope and building the spirit of architecture among students. It helps students go beyond their curriculum, admire and analyze the built form in depth.
