Explore some of the finest Islamic monuments, Jain temples and vernacular wooden architecture and a thriving ‘Walled City Culture’ during the Heritage Food Walk with Mohammed Ali Turner.

The historic ‘Old City’, on the eastern side of the river, is a sight to behold – a tightly condensed humanity going about daily chores as if time had stood still, with chaotic bazaars, crisscrossing narrow streets (called ‘pols’) punctuated by beautifully carved bird feeders, roaming cattle, crumbling but stunning examples of vernacular architecture and artisan workshops.

We are delighted to present to you a vlog created by an exchange student at IIM Ahmedabad, Fieja Tseng. The video gives a beautiful look back at the recently conducted "Kite Market Night Walk" on the eve of Uttaryan - Gujarat's internationally renowned kite festival. We explored the famous night kite bazaar of Ahmedabad and had a glimpse of the glorious culture of the Heritage City. Of course, we also feasted on some mouthwatering local delicacies.

For those who couldn't make it, here's hoping you join us in the future. For those who could, have a look and reminisce.

We wish you a very happy new year 2018!

Let's welcome the new year with some music and beats of drums. The Heritage Club, as part of its community outreach program, is organizing a Drum Circle event in collaboration with Ahmedabad-based 'The Drum Circle'.

Date: Jan 5 (Friday)
Time: 9:00 pm Onwards
Venue: LKP Lawns

A one of a kind event, it is an experience that enables you connect with your fellow drummers without using words and concepts. It is an amazing stress-buster and is full of fun. This is one event that you would not want to miss!

Note:
- The event is open for students from A-League colleges only
- We can accommodate only 50 participants for the event, on first come first serve basis. No registration is required
- We discourage swapping seats during the event, as it breaks the rhythm of the group

If you have any concerns, contact Gaurav Sagar (9971515466).

Looking forward to hosting you.
