🌱World Environment Day 2026 🌱
On the occasion of World Environment Day, a Kesudo (Flame of the Forest) tree was planted in the college campus garden by the Honorable Principal of the College.
Trees are not only vital for maintaining ecological balance but also serve as a valuable legacy for future generations. On this special occasion, the college community reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable environment through tree plantation and conservation.
With the message "One Tree, Many Lives", the college has taken a small yet meaningful step towards environmental protection and sustainable development.

Building Research Skills: Workshop on Research Paper Writing
Government Commerce College, Naroda organised a workshop on “How to Write a Research Paper” on 25th March 2026 at the college premises under the Research, Innovation and Extension Initiative by Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat, Education Department, Government of Gujarat.
The workshop was organised by Dr. Chirag Jiyani, Department of Accountancy, who planned and coordinated the entire event.The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Mamta Brahmbhatt, B K School of Business Management, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, who guided participants through the key aspects of research paper writing in a clear and well-structured manner.
With 31 post-graduate students and 10 faculty members, the workshop witnessed active participation from both students and faculty. Refreshments were provided to all participants.The workshop contributed to enhancing research and academic writing skills among participants.
The college expresses sincere gratitude to Dr. Chirag Jiyani for his dedicated efforts and to our respected Principal Dr. Pravin R. Patel for his continued encouragement and support.

Photography with Responsibility: Cyber Safety in Focus
Government Commerce College, Naroda, Ahmedabad organised a Two-Day Workshop on “Beyond the Lens: Photography in the Digital and Cyber Age” on 5th and 6th March 2026 under the CAWACH Kendra Initiative.
The workshop was organised and coordinated by Prof. Ujala Shamnani, Cyber Club Coordinator. The sessions were conducted by photographer Nikunj Parmar, who, through his expertise, provided practical training in photography while patiently guiding students through the basics. He also highlighted the importance of cyber safety and responsible digital behaviour.
With around 40 participants, the workshop enabled students to understand both the creative and ethical dimensions of photography in today’s digital environment. Faculty members also remained actively involved throughout the sessions.
We express our sincere gratitude to Prof. Ujala Shamnani, Cyber Club Coordinator, for organising this workshop, and thank our Principal for continuous support and encouragement.

Workshop on Innovation Validation: “Converting Innovation into Startup”The Innovation Club of Government Commerce College, Naroda organized a workshop on Innovation Validation titled “Converting Innovation into Startup” on 13th February 2026 under the coordination of Prof. Dipal Patel. A total of 54 students participated with great enthusiasm. The sessions were conducted by two distinguished speakers from the field of Entrepreneurship, who provided valuable insights into validating ideas, understanding market needs, and transforming innovation into l viable startups. The event reflected the strong entrepreneurial spirit of our students through their proactive participation and interactive discussions. We sincerely appreciate the visionary initiative of our respected Principal and commend the dedicated efforts of Prof. Dipal Patel, Innovation Club Coordinator. We also thank all faculty members for their continuous guidance and support in making this workshop a success.

📊 Building Digital Readiness through Skill-Based Learning
Government Commerce College, Naroda organized a One-Day Workshop on Digital Marketing on 21st January 2026 (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) under the Promotion of Research and Facilities (PRF) Scheme of KCG, with 74 participants including students from other colleges.
The programme was successfully coordinated by Dr. Dipti Arora under the guidance of Principal Dr. P. R. Patel and was graced by Chief Guest Dr. A. S. Prajapati, Principal, Gujarat Commerce College and Guest of Honour Dr. Tekpal Singh Anand, Principal, Harij Government College of Arts & Science and Sami Government Arts & Commerce College. Distinguished speakers Dr. Gautam Bapat (MIT World Peace University, Pune) and the founders of Move Digital Marketing Institute delivered the sessions.
The workshop comprised four well-structured sessions covering:
• Evolution of Marketing – Why Digital
• SEO, Google Ads and Email Marketing
• Social Media Marketing and Content Creation (Hands-on)
• Entrepreneurial Application – Using Digital for Your Own Start-up (Practical)
The event was made possible through the sincere support and cooperation of our faculty members and staff. Breakfast and lunch were arranged for staff and all participants.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants.
The success of the workshop stands as a testimony to the guidance of Coordinator Dr. Dipti Arora and the leadership of Principal Dr. P. R. Patel.

Code the Future: Empowering Non-Tech Entrepreneurs with Digital Skills Government Commerce College, Naroda organized a certificate course titled “Code the Future: Course on Website Development and Applied Python for Non-Tech Entrepreneurs” under the Innovation Club to equip students with essential digital and entrepreneurial skills. The course focused on website development, applied Python, and prototype development, with an emphasis on practical, hands-on learning and human-centered problem solving. Participants gained confidence in digital tools, developed functional websites, and explored innovative business ideas. The initiative successfully bridged the gap between technology and entrepreneurship while fostering creativity, technical adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset among non-technical learners. Sincere thanks to Dr. Dipal Patel, Innovation Coordinator, whose guidance and coordination played a key role in the successful ex*****on of the programme.
