From curiosity to creation, culture to enterprise, the CONEXUS AIS FEST 2026–27 brought Grades 6 to 9 together for a celebration of learning in its most vibrant form.

Each grade took a unique path, transforming ideas into experiences and giving students the space to question, create, collaborate and lead.

Young entrepreneurs turning imagination into ideas, and ideas into possibilities through innovation and business thinking.

Across every showcase, the spotlight remained where it belonged: on our students—their ideas, their voices, their creativity and their confidence.

CONEXUS was a wonderful celebration of what happens when learners are given the freedom to explore, create and make learning their own.

A proud run at the SGFI District Competition. 🏅✨

Our students brought home wins across Karate, Swimming, Hurdles, Long Jump, and Football, showing skill, discipline, and the determination to give their best on the mat, in the pool, on the track, and on the field. 🥋🏊‍♀️🏃‍♂️⚽

With these wins, they have also qualified for the State Level Competition. Congratulations to all our athletes. Your hard work showed, and we’re proud to see you represent AIS with such spirit. 🌟 The next challenge awaits, and we can’t wait to see them rise to it. 🙌🏼

TEDx Ahmedabad International School | Growing Roots 🌱.

Ideas take root in the stories we share, the perspectives we explore, and the conversations that inspire us to see the world differently.

Under the theme “Growing Roots — Where Ideas Meet Impact,” TEDx at Ahmedabad International School brought together a distinguished group of speakers whose experiences, insights and ideas invited us to reflect, question and imagine new possibilities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jwalin Patel, Krina Patel, Falguni Vasavda, Avni Sethi, Purvi Bhavsar, Janki Vasant, Prashant Issar and Mirant Parikh for sharing their voices and perspectives with our community.

From the roots that ground us to the ideas that empower us to grow, Growing Roots was a celebration of thought, connection and meaningful impact.

Learning how to learn is a skill in itself. 🧠 Knowledge matters, and so do the skills children use to understand, apply, and communicate it.

In the IB Primary Years Programme at AIS, students develop Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills that support how they learn across subjects and experiences. These include thinking, communication, research, social, and self-management skills. 🧠🗣️🔎

Whether they are researching a question, working through a group task, organising their time, presenting an idea, or reflecting on what they could do differently, students are learning how to approach challenges with greater independence and confidence.

These skills grow over time and become an important part of how students learn, collaborate, and take responsibility for their work. 🌱

But how do teachers know what a child has understood, how their thinking has developed, and where they need support next? 👀

Our PYP 5 students kick-started their new unit, Creative Expression, under the transdisciplinary theme “How We Express Ourselves,” with captivating Bhavai and dance performances by our Language and Performing Arts team.

Through a reflective word splash, students shared what they could see, hear, and feel, surfacing rich vocabulary around messages, feelings, expression, costumes, lyrics, language, and music.

The provocation sparked curiosity and wonder, setting the stage for deeper inquiry into the many ways we express ourselves. 🎭✨

🌍 Exploring Pathways Beyond School

Recently, our Grade 9–12 students had the opportunity to interact with representatives from 45+ leading Indian universities and 8 leading universities from Ireland.

They explored academic pathways across Engineering, Liberal Arts, Business, Design, Law, Sciences, Media, Hospitality, and more, gaining a closer understanding of the choices available to them after school.

Through conversations with university representatives, students gained useful insights to make more informed choices about their future. 🎓✨

A little magic came to life in our library! 🪄📚

Our PYP 4 and 5 learners stepped into the magical world of Harry Potter as we celebrated the beloved series through creativity, reading, and fun.

From showcasing their thoughtfully created props and sharing their favourite characters and books to writing letters to J.K. Rowling, every moment was filled with imagination and excitement.

The much-awaited Sorting Ceremony added to the magic, as learners were sorted into Hogwarts houses based on their unique qualities. 🏰✨ The celebration ended with a fun-filled quiz that put their Harry Potter knowledge to the test!

A celebration of books, imagination, creativity, and the joy of reading. 💫📖
