6th-semester BTech in Climate Change students at the Anant School for Climate Action (ASCA) recently visited Arbuda Plastochem Pvt Ltd, Chhatral, as part of the Technology and Pollution course, led by Hitesh Patel, Founder of Creative Solution and an expert with over 25 years of experience in wastewater treatment technologies.

The visit introduced students to key concepts in industrial wastewater treatment, including Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems.

Students observed these systems in operation and gained practical insights into industrial effluent management and environmental impact mitigation.

Anant’s BTech in Climate Change programme equips our students with skills, knowledge and expertise to create technology-driven solutions to climate change problems both at the local and global levels.

Aarambh Incubation Centre, in collaboration with the Career Services Office, recently hosted an engaging guest talk by Bobby Achettu, Principal, Business Advisory Services and India Operations, Sikich, titled ‘Venture Vimarsh: Founder and Expert Series’.

The session offered valuable insights into entrepreneurship beyond traditional start-up pathways, emphasising the importance of cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset rooted in ownership, initiative and strategic thinking.

Participants were encouraged to adopt a founder-like approach across career paths, recognising the role of innovation, adaptability and problem-solving as essential skills in diverse professional contexts.

The Week recently featured an authored article by Dr Sunny Bansal, Assistant Dean, School of Architecture, titled ‘Designing for sustainability: Bridging architectural education and professional practice’.

The piece draws from a Symposium on ‘Integrating Sustainability into Architecture Education to Transform Professional Practice’ hosted by the School of Architecture and Centre for Public Policy Research and Design at India Habitat Centre, Delhi. It explored how sustainability can be meaningfully integrated into architecture education, aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and strengthened through collaboration among academia, policy and industry.

In this article, Dr Bansal highlights a critical gap: while sustainability is widely discussed, its adoption in mainstream construction remains limited due to the disconnect between education and practice.
