Early Morning Processions (Nagar Kirtans): Sikhs celebrate by taking part in processions, singing hymns (kirtan) from the Guru Granth Sahib (the holy scripture of Sikhism), and reciting prayers in the streets. These processions often involve singing, dancing, and the distribution of prasad (blessed food).

Gurdwara Visits: Devotees visit Gurdwaras (Sikh temples), where the Guru Granth Sahib is read continuously (known as Akhand Path). Special prayers, hymns, and community meals (Langar) are served to all visitors.

Charity and Seva: The spirit of the day is also reflected in acts of charity and selfless service (Seva). Many people engage in community service, including serving food, cleaning the Gurdwara, or helping the needy.

Spiritual Discourses and Reflections: There are often spiritual discussions and reflections on Guru Nanak’s life, teachings, and the importance of living a life of truth, compassion, and devotion to God.

Guru Nanak’s teachings still resonate deeply within the Sikh community and beyond, promoting universal values of peace, equality, and respect for all.
