The report showing you the growth story of our school during the last two years. The overall team is headed by His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Bishop Thomas Macwan, the Bishop of Ahmedabad Diocese who is also the President of A’bad Xavier’s education Society,The trust that runs your school under his lordship guidance are Rev. Fr Jesukani, the manager of the school; Rev. Fr. Lawrence Martis, the Principal, Sr. Audrey and Sr. Meena,the teaching staff whose strength has gone up beyond 80 (eighty), the supporting staff & of course our students.
We are glad to inform you that our school is growing physically with the expansion of infrastructure.
School Infrastructure : They include 40 spacious classrooms equipped with the most modern electronic teaching aid under the trade name SMART CLASS developed and maintained by Educomp solution limited.
We have 3 updated science labs, Computer lab with 60 LCD monitors.
A well furnished library with well above 3000 books and magazines on various subjects, A new Lingafone lab, a multi-purpose A.V. room with all associated gadgets.
The school campus includes a football ground, Volleyball ground, a basket ball court, handball ground & also cricket net for cricket net practice.
All these unitedly creates a perfect atmosphere for your wards to study and progress in life here at Xavier’s.
This entire Xavier’s campus is the second home for 2666 students.
Academics : School has obtained 100% result in SSC, HSC Science, HSC Commerce.
Both the English and Gujarati Medium students of Std 10 have made the school proud by obtaining 100% result in the board exam held in March 2011.
We have introduced various IT courses introduced by Gujarat Knowledge Society .37 Students as well as teachers took admission in the level one course and appeared in the exam recently.
The school conducted the Inter-school Quiz competition rolling Trophy for all the English Medium School of Beat No. 10 for the 4th consecutive year.
Out of 16 invited schools St. Xavier’s Hansol emerged as Champion and added glory to our school. A few of our students also participated in Limca Quiz Contest and Bournvita Quiz Competition held at Seventh Day Adventist High School, Maninagar.
Sports: In Khel Mahakumbh sixteen students in two different teams participated in handball competition and got First and Third place respectively along with the cash prize of Rs.3000 for the First place and Rs.1000 for Third place.
Six boys and six girls under 14 category got third place in inter-district handball competition held at Botad.
Two of them, Shah Komal and Mulchandani Manali represented Gujarart state at national level handball competition held at Delhi.
Nine other girls from our school participated in state level handball competition in Women’s Sports Festival organized at Shabarimala in Dang district.Also eight girls and four boys under 17 category represented A’bad city in a handball competition conducted at Dhuvaran.
Other activities : This year too, we conducted Maths-Science Quiz for high school and higher secondary section, debate, Extempore, Rangoli-making, Card-making, Star-making etc.
Apart from all these activities, our school also celebrates different Religious and National Festivals as a sign of respect to all the religions and to our Nations.‘THE JEWELS OF XAVIERS’,is one of the mega events of our school.
Picnics &Tours : Besides these one day picnic, a 12-day tour to Banglore, Ooty, Kodaikanal and Mysore was also organized.
Further activities : The school has also purchased a new software to provide you with different records of our students regarding their attendance, result, participation in school activities, performance in semester examination etc. We can also send all these information to you either trough sms or through e-mail. This will soon be activated for your benefit.
To provide maximum facilities like music room, counseling room, recreation hall, 3D studio TT room etc. we have constructed a new block.
This new construction will definitely help our students to be homely in our school campus.
Social Service : Down the years you have been very co-operative in our task of imparting free education to the needy. A total sum of Rs.6 lacs was given as freeship concession, donation etc.
Thus we have crossed many a milestone in our on going journey towards betterment of education to keep our society and country in alignment with the rest of the world. Though it is a journey that never ends our aim is to keep our children and there by our country on course with cultural, scientific and technological development. May God bless you all.
