Jolly Phonics is a fun and child centered approach to teaching literacy through synthetic phonics. With actions for each of the 42 letter sounds, the multi-sensory method is very motivating for children and teachers, who can see their students, achieve great heights.In the Pre Primary section reading is taught through Jolly Phonics which is basically a British programme based on teaching English through synthetic phonic approach. It teaches letter sounds in multi sensory way. Jolly phonics targets all kinds of learners in the class i.e. the visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners. The main idea behind this approach is to build a strong foundation in the development of a child’s reading and writing skills.
