Anant Fellowshipโs Class of 2025 concluded with the Fellows presenting their final Live-Action Projects (LAPs). The projects were showcased in the presence of internal and external jurors, mentors, LAP clients, the Fellowship team, and other university stakeholders. This year, the cohort worked on seven unique projects:
Prakrishi: Focused on the Dangs and Navsari regions of Gujarat, this project explored the behavioral aspects that enable or hinder the adoption of natural farming.
Bridging Experiences: This project worked with parents, teachers, and principals in three municipal schools in Ahmedabad to understand the challenges and explore ways to foster stronger engagement.
Foodprint: The team collaborated with its client, Project Otenga, to integrate sustainability practices into its overall strategy and operations.
Apple Vibes: An entrepreneurial initiative, this project reimagines how underutilized and surplus apples can be transformed into nutritious, naturally sweet, and gluten-free value-added products. By combining locally sourced apples with other healthy ingredients, the team developed clean-label snacks that are both affordable and wholesome.
Adinav: Aimed at primary-level children (Grade 3, ages 8โ10) of the Bhil tribe, this project developed pictorial educational materials in the local Bhili language and artistic style.
Ankahi Goonj: This project studied the housing conditions of migrant workers in the Vatva area of Ahmedabad, examining their vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies, use of space as well as expenditure on repairs and maintenance.
Samman: The team helped its client, India Recycles, to understand the needs of low-income communities and their attitudes towards pre-loved goods.
We wish them all the best!

Opening Doors to Possibility in Ladakh
On July 16th & 17th, the Anant Fellowship in Sustainability and Built Environment had the privilege of collaborating with SAVE Changthang to bring the Anant Fellowship to the youth of Ladakh. Through engaging sessions at EGM College and Sheynam Community Hall, we connected with curious, purpose-driven students eager to shape a more sustainable future.
What made it truly special? Connecting with our alumni: Thinles Nurboo, Councillor at the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) and a leader in the Pashmina Cooperative and Stanzin Dothon, a dedicated climate advocate with Local Futures. Their stories demonstrated what's possible when passion meets purpose.
Hardika Dayalani, Director โ Anant Fellowship, engaged with the youth of Ladakh and shared her valuable insights on various aspects of Sustainability and the Built Environment.

In April, the fellows successfully completed their LAP immersions. Here's a glimpse into their experiences and activities. ๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐
๐จ๐จ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ญ looked into sustainability in the food industry by exploring local cafes and brainstorming innovative design ideas that can nudge behavioural change in cafe culture. ๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ข๐๐๐ฌ preheated their oven with in-depth research into the eco-conscious market and cooked up a storm of experiments with fresh batches of cookies.
๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ง took to the ground, interviewing end users of preloved items and volunteering with India Recycles. ๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ engaged with various stakeholders, from principals, teachers and parents, to identify gaps within parental involvement among marginal communities. Meanwhile, ๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐ง๐ค๐๐ก๐ข ๐๐จ๐จ๐ง๐ฃ ventured into Vatva to understand the pressing concerns of housing and well-being from a gendered lens among migrant workers.
Fellows also travelled beyond Ahmedabad. ๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐ซ๐๐ค๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ข planted themselves on the fields of Navsari and Dangs districts in South Gujarat to unearth traditional knowledge and harvest insights into natural farming. At the same time, ๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฏ visited the Alirajpur district in Madhya Pradesh to co-create visual educational content in collaboration with the Bhil community.
Stay tuned, and join us in wishing them all the best!
