Nirma University hosted its Sports Awards Ceremony 2025-26 on April 7, 2026, celebrating the remarkable achievements of students, faculty, and staff across various team and individual sports throughout the academic year. The event was graced by Vice President Shri K K Patel as the Chief Guest and Executive Registrar Shri G R Nair as the Guest of Honour.
Awardees were felicitated with trophies, medals, and certificates in recognition of their dedication and excellence.
A special highlight of the evening was Ms Rakshikha Ravi from the Institute of Technology, who received recognition for her outstanding international sports achievement and was awarded a sports scholarship of Rs1,00,000.

Nirma University, Ahmedabad hosted an interactive session titled āModiās Mission ā In Conversation with Mr Berjis Desaiā on March 24, 2026.
Centered around the book āModiās Missionā, the session offered valuable insights into leadership, governance, and the developmental vision of Honāble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
With around 500 students participating, the event featured engaging discussions and a lively Q&A session on Indiaās journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
The session provided a meaningful platform for students to reflect on their role in nation-building and engage with ideas shaping Indiaās future.

Nirma University, under the SETU (Sustaining Equality Through Universities) Programme, organized a panel discussion on āFostering Gender Sensitivity at Workspaces and Academic Institutionsā in collaboration with the Gender Resource Centre and Women & Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat.
The panel featured eminent speakers from government, judiciary, academia, and social development sectors, who shared valuable perspectives on promoting inclusive, respectful, and safe environments in academic institutions and workplaces. The discussion reinforced the importance of collaboration between academia and government in strengthening awareness, institutional mechanisms, and gender-sensitive practices across higher education.

A proud moment for the entire Nirma community as 2,936 students received their degrees at the 34th Annual Convocation held on November 19, 2025.
Chief Guest, Dr Neville G Pinto, President of the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, shared inspiring insights about the rapidly changing world driven by technology and AI, and reminded students that lifelong learning is essential for future success.
President Dr Karsanbhai K Patel encouraged students to lead with dedication, discipline, and a sense of responsibility towards society. Director General Dr Anup K Singh highlighted the university's achievements in research, innovation, and academic excellence.

The Institute of Commerce, Nirma University, under the aegis of the Studentsā Welfare Board, organised a spectacular celebration āNUą¤°ą¤¾ą¤¤ą„ą¤°ą¤æā25ā on the eve of Sharad Purnima, October 4, 2025, at the Nirma University campus.
Ms Anita Shah Akella, a 1996 batch officer of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) and the CEO of the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The evening was marked by enthusiastic participation from university officials including the Director General, Executive Registrar, Heads of Institutes and Departments, along with over 4,000 students, faculty, and staff members. The atmosphere was filled with music and cultural exuberance as the university community came together to celebrate the spirit of festivity.
Adding to the grandeur, Raag Mehta and his team, renowned for their electrifying live performances and popular playback renditions during the Navratri season, enthralled the audience with their high-energy.
The event also featured vibrant Garba performances and a traditional attire contest, judged by Ms Sheetal Makwana, Ms Bhumi Thakkar, and Mr Tushar Vyas. Participants, including students, faculty, staff, and their children, were felicitated with trophies for their exceptional performances.

Swachh Bharat, Swachhata Pakhwada @ Nirma University
NCC Unit of Nirma University (affiliated to 9-Gujarat NCC Battalion & 1-Gujarat (Girls) Battalion) organized a Shramdaan on September 20, 2025 under the theme Swachhotsav ā āOne Day, One Hour, Together ā One Step Towards Cleanliness.ā
60 NCC cadets devoted 120 man-hours towards a cleanliness drive at Tragad Lake Periphery near university campus.
Collected 50 kg of dry waste including plastics, wrappers, tetra packs & more.
Cadets showcased exemplary dedication and took a pledge for cleanliness.

Addition of a New Facility at Nirma University!
Nirma University takes pride in continuously enhancing campus life for its students, faculty, and visitors. In this endeavour, a āStadium Canteenā has been inaugurated at the University campus. The inauguration was graced by Shri K K Patel, Vice President, Nirma University, in the presence of university officials and representatives from Blessings Solutions.
The canteen is operated and managed at the university premises by the Blessings Solutions team. The brand, well-known for its quality and variety, will offer a delightful range of food options to suit diverse tastes.
The canteen offers not only great food options, but an ideal ambience. The canteen overlooks the universityās sports ground, offering a serene ambience where one can enjoy food, while watching matches and student activities. The facade creates a stunning view when illuminated in the evenings. The Stadium Canteen has an inclusive design built with accessibility in mind, ensuring ease of movement for specially-abled individuals. The space offers spacious seating, restroom facilities, and water coolers for convenience of visitors.
This new facility is more than just a food spot - itās a vibrant social space fostering relaxation, conversations, and community bonding amidst the bustling campus life.
