And it feels like I just started yesterday.

When I began AOEM Overseas Overseas Education Mentoring, I literally had no roadmap..just a deep belief that students deserve access to the best education in the world, and that I could help guide them there.

This wasn’t just about college applications or visas. It was about truly advising students and putting their needs first, not ours.

Helping them see possibilities they hadn’t imagined for themselves.

Empowering them to choose well, not just widely.

That has been the soul of AOEM from Day One:
Students first. Always.

And that hasn’t changed..not through the high points, not through the tough ones.

There were moments of pure zeal, when everything felt full of possibility.

And there were moments when I questioned everything, when the weight of running a business, the uncertainty, and the responsibility felt like too much.

But I kept going.

Not because I had all the answers, but because something inside me kept saying: this work matters.

Over the last six years, we’ve had the joy of guiding students to prestigious universities such as London School of Economics, Cornell, UCL, Uni of Toronto, Kings College, NYU, John’s Hopkins..

But what truly stays with me is this: even after they’ve flown across, they still remember us.

They reach out. They check in.

Sometimes just to say hello. Sometimes to say thank you.

And every time, it feels so special. So real.
If there’s one thing that has kept me going..it’s been the faith and love of our students and their families.

Every time a parent entrusted me with their child’s future…

Every time a student came back to say, “You helped me believe in myself.”

That’s what fuels me. That’s what continues to drive me.

Earlier this year, we also took a step that had been a long time coming..we started True North Career Advisor, a vertical dedicated solely to career counselling.

Because while sending students abroad is part of the dream, helping them discover who they are and what they’re meant to do..that’s the heart of it all.

And that heart is beating stronger than ever.

Our student Presha Shethwala got her US F1 visa today, and we couldn’t be prouder !

Presha has been with us for a long time. From getting into a summer school program at Boston University to preparing for her IELTS (which she cleared with an overall 6.5 band), we’ve seen her grow through every phase.

Now, she’s all set to pursue her Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity at the University of Cincinnati, with a $30,000 scholarship, which is awarded to academically qualified international students.

Presha’s always been focused, sincere, and determined. Watching her journey come full circle today, from those first conversations to a stamped visa, is a moment of quiet joy for all of us.

This one means a lot. 💛

A huge congratulations to our amazing student Diya Unadkat on securing admits to TWO top-tier universities in the US, Boston University and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for a Master’s in Management !

When she first reached out, she was clear about one thing, she wanted to do her Master’s in Management from a top U.S. university, but without taking the GRE. We worked together to find the perfect-fit universities that were STEM-designated and aligned with her goals.

From multiple rounds of SOP drafts to guidance for LORs that truly reflected her strengths, she was involved, open, and so receptive throughout tthe journey !

Moments like these make it all worth it for us at AOEM. So proud of how far Diya has come!

What a perfect end to 2024 !

We’re so so happy to share that Darshil Shah, a former student of ours and an alumnus of both Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Universitat de Barcelona, Spain..just received his F1 visa approval and we’re proud to have helped him secure it in just 5 days, working from India while he was in Spain !

We remember Darshil from his IELTS and postgraduate studies preparation with us three years ago. What’s even more rewarding is that Darshil remembered his positive experience with us and chose to return for assistance with F1 Student Visa, USA. He’ll be pursuing his PhD in Physiology of Reproduction at Texas A&M University in College Station.

Couldn’t ask for a better wonderful way to close out the year !

i) Compare Tuition Fee: Don’t just look at the total cost. Analyze scholarship and grant options, and consider potential work-study opportunities. Use online net price calculators to compare the actual cost you’ll pay after factoring in aid.

ii) Look for scholarships: Research external scholarships and grants you may be eligible for based on your academic achievements, talents, or background.

iii) Think long-term: Consider future living expenses, textbooks, and potential debt. Create a budget and explore loan options if necessary.
