On the occasion of World Environment Day, the ISHRAE LDCE Student Chapter organized a Tree Plantation Drive across the LDCE campus, planting 200+ trees to promote environmental sustainability and a greener future.

The event was graced by the presence of our respected Principal Sir, whose participation encouraged students to take meaningful steps towards environmental responsibility.

The program also featured the 1 Degree Oath Ceremony, where participants pledged their commitment to climate action and sustainable living.

Together, every tree planted today is a step towards a healthier and more sustainable tomorrow. 🌍💚

Proud moment for LDCE! 🎉

Team VisionX secured 🥈 1st Runner Up at तर्कShaastra 2k26, a 24-hour hackathon organized during Lakshya 2.0 – TechFest LDCE.

The team developed an innovative solution focused on Tourism & Crowd Management / Smart Mobility & Infrastructure, designed to predict stampede risks in major Gujarat pilgrimage corridors including Ambaji, Dwarka, Somnath, and Pavagadh. Their system uses simulated crowd flow, transport arrival bursts, and corridor width data to generate real-time pressure analysis and early risk alerts for authorities.

This achievement reflects the spirit of innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving under pressure. 👏

Industrial Exposure Visit 🏭

An industrial exposure visit for the students of the Plastic Technology Department, LDCE, was organized by BIS-Ahmedabad at Dutron Plastics Pvt. Ltd. and Dutron Polymer, Kheda on 21st April 2026.

Students of Semester 4 and Semester 6, along with faculty members Prof. Kintu Jain, Prof. Hetal Shah, and Prof. Stuti Shah, explored modern manufacturing techniques and quality testing procedures during the visit.

📚 The visit provided valuable insights into industrial practices and manufacturing processes.

✨ Successfully Conducted!

The Department of Biomedical Engineering, LDCE, successfully organized a workshop on “Future of Surgery: Hands-on Surgical Navigation Experience” in collaboration with HRS Navigation on 7th April 2026.

🧠 Participants gained valuable hands-on exposure to advanced image-guided surgical technologies, including real-time navigation and neuro & spine applications.

👨‍⚕️ Students and faculty actively engaged with experts, gaining practical insights into modern healthcare innovations.

Advancing Knowledge in Electric Mobility ⚡🚗

A two-day training program on Electric Vehicle Technology, Policy and Business Models was successfully conducted by Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI) at L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad on 20-21 April 2026.

The program provided valuable insights into EV technologies, charging infrastructure, policy frameworks and emerging business opportunities, enabling students to better understand the rapidly evolving electric mobility ecosystem.

🏆 Hackathon Achievement - Craftathon 2026

We are delighted to share that our students secured 🥇 1st Place in the FinTech domain at Craftathon 2026, a prestigious 36-hour national-level hackathon held at Gandhinagar University, competing against 131 teams.

💡 The team developed “VeriFlow - Continuous Behavioral Authentication”, a smart security solution that verifies users based on real-time behavior, going beyond traditional passwords and OTPs.

Vedang Raval and Ved Patel, Mechanical Engineering students of LDCE, secured 1st Rank in the semi-final round of the ISHRAE aQuest Competition held at Pune, and will now represent the ISHRAE LDCE Student Chapter at the National Finals in Mumbai. Their achievement reflects strong technical skills, teamwork, and the spirit of innovation supported by the guidance of Dr. V. B. Patel and the Mechanical Engineering Department.
