Salad bowl was organized as a part of Puns and Proses Club. This activity ensured contribution of vocabulary to students with an innovative and fun way. An alphabet was given to students and they needed to write as many words as they can from the same and other team members needed to enact the same. The game truly made learnings fun !

Expert Talk on ‘Nuances of Modern Sales Management’ By Mr. Kirti Dave, Export Manager, SDM Industries In present time for any management graduate, it is necessary to gain knowledge about international sales management functions. On October 7, 2023, an expert session by Mr. Kirti Dave, Export Manager, SDM Industries was organized to make students familiar with practices of international sales management. During the session he explained various facets of trade in Tanzania and UK Market. The session was followed by a question answer round where the students got all their apprehensions discussed and asked various questions. It was indeed a practical session the students enjoyed, and it was great learning for all of them in attendance.

Faculty of Management, GLS University Workshop on How to Access J-Gate and Optimize Use for Research Date : October 12, 2023 Venue: Class Room 201 Time 11:00 am 12:00 PM Faculty of Management, GLS University had organized a workshop on J-Gate for its faculty members and students on October 12, 2023. Mr. Bhavesh Shah , Sr. Territory Manager, Informatics Publishing Limited. Mr. Shah made a presentation on various features of J-gate, how to do better and advanced search, how to create personal profile , remote access and campus access etc. All the participants accessed J-Gate on their devices and learnt hands-on of various features of J-Gate.

Sanshodhan 2023 – Summer Internship Competition Summer Internship Competition – Sanshodhan 2023 was organized by Faculty of Management, GLS University, to admire, appreciate and assess, the practical learning of 8 weeks of rigorous summer internship undertaken by the students. Following an in-depth assessment of more than 350+ projects, 72 projects were nominated for further review by industry experts of which 13 projects were shortlisted for presenting their research on this platform. Intense research, analysis and literature review of each project made the competition interesting. Mr. Mohit Kumar Saggu, Senior Vice President, Unison Insurance Broking Pvt Ltd. and Ms. Ekta Shah, Associate Vice President, WhiteOak Capital Asset Management graced the event as industry experts. These panel of experts evaluated the projects on various criteria like adoption of research methodology, analytical tools, findings & conclusion and overall presentation. Students had the opportunity of interaction with these industry experts and received constructive feedback on how to improve their research further. Of all, the following projects were awarded for their practical implications and well suggested findings with respect to the industry of their project. 1st Position: Shigufazehra Momin (MBA) Cash Prize Rs. 15000 2nd Position: Sakshi Shah (MBA) Cash Prize Rs. 12000 3rd Position: Richa Dang & Lokesh Banthia (MBA) Cash Prize Rs. 10000 Best Presentation: Kiran Moda & Devyani Barbara (MBA) Cash Prize Rs. 7000 The event ended with a promise to thrive in the area of research and contribute the learning to the corporate, students’ fraternity and society at large.

Puns and Proses have organized the club briefing and a game called game of five - students had to explore more synonyms, antonyms or related words for a particular word given. This activity took the vocabulary competition amongst students to fun and learning level. In all its was a great learning activity.

The Marketing Club, Mavericks - 2023, recently organized a lively Brand Charade activity for marketing students, with participation from over 14 enthusiastic groups. The event featured two engaging rounds focused on guessing brand names and their corresponding taglines, making it a fun and educational experience for all involved.

Expert Session on Learnings and Opportunities in context of tax laws by CA Divyang Shah

A Guest session was conducted for MBA Finance specialization students. We were privileged to have with us CA Divyang Shah, Practising Chartered Accountant, Ahmedabad who has rich experience of more than 15 years in the field of taxation. He discussed learnings and opportunities in context of tax laws and shared the insights on the right approach to deal with taxation matters and how to cope up with the ever-changing tax laws with the students. Students had a great learning from the session.
