The International Seminar on Energising Cultures, to be held during December 3-5, 2015 at Convocation Hall, Gujarat University,Ahmedabad, is an initiative
Vedas and Sanskrit scriptures illustrate unique way of everyday life, practiced by the Rishis from ancient India. The profound wisdom that lies buried deep in these texts is still relevant and vastly applicable to our modern, evolved lifestyle - be it in the healthcare, agriculture or any other sector. Our current agriculture system is causing grave damage to the nature. Extensive use of harmful,
toxic pesticides & chemicals to augment the agri-produce is having dreadful physiological effects on mankind. There looms an imminent threat of disrupting the ecological balance too, in the near future. But thankfully, it has been clearly indicated in the Vedas and other ancient scriptures; how the soil needs to be cultured & cultivated and food procured for mankind without causing harm to the nature, and maintaining the balance of the ecosystemin detail. Also, in recent times, the globally ongoing agricultural research based on Vedas and Sanskrit scriptures across all fields is a major breakthrough. The need of the hour is to effectively leverage these alternatives/research findings and focus on turning our resource base towards regenerative agriculture. It is essential that this trend continues and the socio-economic benefits are accrued by the farmer by adoption of new practices. It is, therefore, vitally important for us revisit our roots and deduce contemporary applications to cultivate the future. The International Seminar on Energising Cultures, to be held during December 3-5, 2015 at Convocation Hall of Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, is an initiative to share this ancient knowledge and applications of Vedic scriptures, with the global communities of Researchers, Scientists, Farmers, Healthcare Professionals, Influencers and all those associated with agriculture, farming & healthcare.
