We are excited to have Mr. Rajdeep Sardesai as speaker for the Media Conclave. He is the Editor-in-chief of IBN News Network. He has 25 years of journalistic experience in print and television. Prior to setting up the IBN channels, he was the Managing Editor of both NDTV 24X7 and NDTV India and was responsible for overseeing the news policy for both the channels. He has also worked with The Times of India for 6 years and was city editor of its Mumbai edition at the age of 26. He has won numerous awards for journalistic excellence, including the Padma Shri award for Journalism in 2008.

Watch Rajdeep Sardesai, Madhu Trehan and Paranjoy Guha Thakurta engage the audience as they speak on whether the business of selling news is a sustainable corporate model.

The first ever IIM Ahmedabad Media Conclave 2013 will be held on Saturday November 30th 2013, 6 - 8 pm in the RJM Auditorium, IIM Ahmedabad!

We are privileged to have Mr. Paranjoy Guha Thakurta as speaker for the Media Conclave. He is an independent journalist and an educator. His work experience, spanning over 36 years, cuts across different media: print, radio, television and documentary cinema. He has been a visiting faculty at various reputed education institutions like IIM A, IIM B, JNU, IIT Kanpur among others. Paranjoy has anchored around 1400 half-hour episodes of "India Talks" on CNBC-India. He was worked with various media organisations like Business India, Businessworld, The Telegraph, India Today, The Pioneer and Television Eighteen.

We are pleased to introduce Ms. Madhu Trehan, the speaker for the Media Conclave 2013. She is a veteran Indian journalist who served as the founding editor of the leading Indian news magazine India Today. In 1986, Ms. Trehan produced and anchored Newstrack, India’s first video news magazine which was a pioneering initiative in the field of investigative journalism. Ms. Trehan has written for leading news magazines and newspapers such as Outlook India and Hindustan Times. In February 2012, she launched a media critique website called Newslaundry along with three of her colleagues.
