SID Research Cell Research is the backbone of any developing creative activity and forms the most effective link between the academic and the professional worlds.

SID Research Cell at CEPT University, Ahmedabad was formally established in 2006 with research, its application and knowledge dissemination, in the field of Interior Design, as its main goals. Interior Design being a new specialized discipline, demands innovative research ideas and development relating to various concerns within the field that would guide the future education and conscious practi

ce of this profession. It was with this vision that the SID Research Cell was formally established in 2006 with research, its application and knowledge dissemination as its main goals. The research activities of the SID Research Cell have been funded by Sir Ratan Tata Trust, Mumbai with infrastructure and physical amenities provided by CEPT University, Ahmedabad. Keeping in mind the future of the discipline, its practice and its education in India, three areas have been broadly identified for further research at the Research Cell. They are: History, Theory and Criticism | Craft, Culture and Technology | Energy and Sustainability
