World Human Rights Day Celebration – 2025

Sabarmati University, Ahmedabad, in collaboration with the Gujarat State Human Rights Commission, organized the World Human Rights Day Celebration – 2025 on 11th December 2025 at Hall No. 1 as a part of the Human Rights Celebration Week.

The programme was graced by Dr. Justice K. J. Thaker, Chairperson, Gujarat State Human Rights Commission, as the Chief Guest; Shri B. S. Upadhyay, Principal District Judge (Retd.) and Member, Gujarat State Human Rights Commission, as the Guest of Honour; and Shri T. V. Joshi, Registrar (Legal), Gujarat State Human Rights Commission, as the Special Guest. The event was also attended by Shri Keyur K. Patel, Legal Officer, and Smt. K. R. Dabhi, Deputy Superintendent of Police.

The celebration included a Lamp Lighting Ceremony, the University Anthem, and addresses by the dignitaries, emphasizing the importance of human rights and constitutional values. The programme concluded with the Human Rights Oath and the National Anthem, reaffirming the commitment to dignity, equality, and justice.

The School of Law, Sabarmati University, successfully organized a Legal Awareness Programme on 20 November 2025 at Narola Village, Taluka – Kadi, District – Mehsana. The initiative was conducted as part of the institution’s ongoing commitment to spreading legal knowledge and empowering rural communities through legal literacy.
The programme was held in the esteemed presence of Prof. R. S. Solanki, Director, School of Law; Ms. Laxmi Tiwari, Head of Department; Mrs. Karima Pankhaniya, Legal Aid Centre Coordinator; Asst. Prof. Heena Desai; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kashyap Thaker; and enthusiastic students from the department.
During the event, law students delivered insightful speeches to the students of Narola Prathmik Shala and local villagers, focusing on fundamental legal rights, legal remedies, and the significance of legal awareness in everyday life. Their presentations aimed to encourage citizens to be informed and responsible individuals when facing legal issues.
The programme witnessed the presence and support of distinguished local representatives including Sarpanch Mr. Dilipsinh Vaghela, Delegate Mr. Mehulbhai, School Principal Mr. Piyush Barot, Industrialist Mr. Navin bhai, schoolstaff, students, and villagers.
The initiative received heartfelt appreciation from attendees and contributed meaningfully to building legal consciousness at the grassroots level. The School of Law reaffirmed its dedication to community-oriented education and participation under its Legal Aid and outreach activities.

The NSS Celebration 2025 was held from 22nd to 24th September 2025 at Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, bringing together volunteers from various universities across the state. Representing Sabarmati University, our NSS volunteers enthusiastically participated in the Garba Competition, competing with teams from 25 other universities. The event served as a vibrant platform to showcase the spirit of unity, culture, and youth energy, reflecting the true essence of the National Service Scheme. It was a memorable experience that strengthened inter-university collaboration and promoted the values of teamwork, cultural exchange, and community engagement.
