Independence Day Celebrated with Patriotic Fervor

Shree Narayana Guru Vidyalaya, Odhav, celebrated Independence Day with immense patriotic zeal and enthusiasm. The event was graced by Chief Guest Shri Jaya Prakash M, General Secretary of SNCM, along with the Trustee Members of SNCM, Organising Secretary of SNCM, Ward Secretary of SNCM, and other esteemed members.

The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance. This was followed by the solemn flag-hoisting ceremony, where the National Flag was unfurled with pride, followed by the rendition of the National Song and the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with a deep sense of patriotism and respect for the motherland.

The Chief Guest, Shri Jaya Prakash M, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech on the significance of Independence Day. He highlighted the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and encouraged students to understand the true meaning of freedom, responsibility, discipline, unity, and service to the nation. He also appreciated the remarkable progress of Shree Narayana Guru Vidyalaya, Odhav, and congratulated the management, Principal, teachers, students, and staff for their continuous efforts towards academic excellence and the overall development of the school.

The Principal Sir also addressed the gathering on the occasion of Independence Day. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of patriotism, unity, discipline, and responsible citizenship. He encouraged students to value the freedom achieved through the sacrifices of our great freedom fighters and to contribute positively to the progress of the nation through knowledge, hard work, honesty, and good values.

A vibrant cultural programme, meticulously organized and presented by the students, added grandeur to the occasion. The celebrations began with a graceful welcome dance, setting a festive tone. Students showcased their talents through inspiring speeches, melodious patriotic songs, and energetic patriotic dances depicting Indiaโ€™s rich cultural heritage and glorious freedom struggle. A major highlight of the event was the breathtaking pyramid formations presented by the senior students, demonstrating remarkable coordination, strength, discipline, and teamwork.

The occasion also marked a proud moment for the institution as academic excellence was recognized. The previous yearsโ€™ SSC toppers were warmly congratulated and felicitated with cash prizes by the dignitaries for their outstanding academic achievements.

The memorable celebration concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by the Primary In-charge, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, Trustee Members, Organising Secretary, Ward Secretary, other dignitaries, management, Principal, teachers, students, parents, participants, and supporting staff for their valuable contribution in making the Independence Day celebration a grand success.

The ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Leadership Day Celebration was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the ๐Ÿง’๐Ÿ‘ง Pre-Primary Section. The aim of the celebration was to introduce children to our great national leaders and inspire them with values such as ๐Ÿค kindness, ๐Ÿ’ช courage, honesty, and ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ patriotism.

The classrooms were beautifully decorated with ๐ŸŽˆ tricolour decorations, ๐ŸŽจ patriotic displays, and leader-themed charts. Students came dressed as inspiring leaders like ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Bhagat singh, Mahatma Gandhi, ๐Ÿง‘โ€โš–๏ธ Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, ๐ŸŽ–๏ธ Subhas Chandra Bose, ๐ŸŒน Jawaharlal Nehru, and ๐Ÿ‘‘ Rani Lakshmibai. They confidently spoke a few lines about the leaders they portrayed. ๐ŸŽคโœจ

Teachers shared simple stories ๐Ÿ“– about the lives and achievements of our great leaders through fun and interactive activities. ๐ŸŽญ๐ŸŽถ The children participated with great excitement and learned the importance of discipline, unity, respect, and love for our country. ๐ŸŒ

The celebration concluded with the ๐ŸŽต National Anthem, filling everyone with ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ pride, joy, and respect for our nation and its great leaders. ๐ŸŒŸ

An Independence Day Craft and Drawing Activity was conducted on 13 August 2026 with active participation of the students. The activity focused on the 80th Independence Day theme, celebrating the spirit and contribution of youth in nation building.

Students expressed their creativity through patriotic drawings and craft work. The activity encouraged teamwork, creativity, cooperation and national pride, while providing students an opportunity to showcase their ideas and artistic skills.

The activity concluded with a strong message that the youth of today are the strength and future of India.

On the occasion of the **birth anniversary of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai**, celebrated on 12th August , Shree Narayana Guru Vidyalaya, Odhav conducted an engaging **House-Wise Mathematics & Science Quiz** to encourage scientific thinking, curiosity, quick reasoning and a spirit of healthy competition among students.

Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, widely regarded as the **Father of the Indian Space Programme**, made remarkable contributions to the development of science and space research in India. His visionary approach continues to inspire young minds to explore, question and innovate. ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

The **Quiz was conducted for a total of 130 marks**, with **6 participants representing each house**. The students participated enthusiastically, followed all the Quiz rules and demonstrated excellent knowledge, teamwork, confidence and quick thinking across both Mathematics and Science.

Teachers provided spelling words according to the 2nd standard level. Students were asked to learn and practice the words.

An oral test was conducted and 6 students were shortlisted from both sections for the final competition.

3. *Final Competition:*
The final Spell Bee competition was conducted for STD 2 students. Points were awarded for each correct spelling.

The annual Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026โ€“27 was celebrated with immense gravity, passion, and dignity at our school premises. The event was organized to formally vest administrative powers and responsibilities to the newly elected and appointed members of the Student Council. The occasion was graced by the presence of Principal, section incharges and teachers.The momentous day commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the quest for knowledge and the spark of leadership, followed by a soulful rendition of a prayer song which set a serene and auspicious tone for the rest of the event.The highlight of the ceremony began with a disciplined and perfectly synchronized march past by the newly elected student leaders. Walking with heads held high and hearts full of pride, the council members took their positions.The respected Principal, incharges and teachers pinned badges and bestowed ceremonial sashes to the post bearers, including the Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captain, Cultural Secretary, and the Captains and Vice-Captains of the four school houses.

The Principal administered the solemn oath to the contingent of post-bearers. With flags held high, the student council members collectively pledged to serve the institution with absolute commitment, integrity, and competence, promising to uphold the glorious legacy of the school motto.The newly appointed Head Boy and Head Girl delivered inspiring acceptance speeches, expressing gratitude to the faculty and peers for placing trust in them while laying out their vision for the upcoming academic year. Our school students participated enthusiastically in the SGFI Athletics Competition held at the Sports Ground, Nikol, Ahmedabad .They displayed remarkable sportsmanship and outstanding athletic skills, bringing great pride to the school through their excellent performances.

The winners are as follows:

Priya Yadav secured 1st Rank in the 100-metre race.

Yug Rajpurohit (Under-17) secured 1st Rank in the High Jump.

Divyanshu Chauhan (Under-19) secured 1st Rank in the Long Jump.

Vikram Chaudhary (Under-19) secured 1st Rank in the Shot Put.

Shibu Tomar (Under-19) secured 1st Rank in the High Jump.
