One of the main reasons for the unproductive has been to never schedule your day with the most important tasks. Knowing in mind and writing what's most important are two different things.
For more productive days
1. Schedule your priority every day
2. Use an accountability system to complete the tasks.
3. Be strict to evaluate in the night

Have you seen yourself using these phrases? I should start a gym. I should eat healthily. I should quit my job. I should ask her to take out. I should start reading. I should take that course to improve my skills. How many times we use these sentences, and yet we failed to take action any on these highly important things.

Let's accept, we don't like changes. It prefers to be in comfort, that's why whenever we start learning a new skill, it always difficult at first, but gradually it becomes easy. The reason is, when we do the same thing over and over again, our brain stores that information in the brain's golf-sized part called Basal Ganglia. Hence, whenever we want to perform some task, Basel Ganglia release the information in the form of habit. Hence, we don't need any conscious effort while performing that habit, so we sleepwalk almost all the tasks most of the time every day, like Driving or toothbrushing.

When we say I should do this or that, we actually not giving any signal to our brain to find out the way to do it, because of the habit — we want to cultivate, is not stored in basal ganglia to make it automated.

You can try a new approach to access the information from your brain, which is replacing should with how. Ask better questions to your brain and it will fetch you the information you already have. Instead of saying, I should start a gym, ask how can I start a gym? How can I start eating healthy? How can I start reading a book? By asking better questions, your brain filters and focus accurate information beneficial to the matter.

When you ask this way, you realize how you are always bombarded with the information you were not paying attention to. When you replace, I should lose weight to how can I lose weight, you start noticing a gym near your home or office. You start paying attention to the posts on Instagram for that matter, you start following people who can help you, the same way you are reading this blog because you have asked a question, how can I learn new things and improve myself?
