Již 5 měsíců je kvůli pandemii koronaviru přerušen výkon vízové agendy na české ambasádě v Dillí. Jsme si plně vědomi toho, že tato situace způsobuje značné komplikace studentům, zaměstnancům, vědeckým pracovníkům a řadě dalších osob, které by chtěly odcestovat do České republky, ale bez víza tak nemohou učinit.

Bohužel současná situace v Indii, kdy se zde každý den koronavirem nakazí více než 80 tisíc lidí, což je nejvíce ze všech zemí světa, nás nutí k obezřetnosti a důslednému dodržování potřebných epidemiologických opatření.

I za této mimořádné situace částečně obnovujeme od 1. září 2020 výkon vízové agendy. Kapacita konzulárního oddělení bude zpočátku poloviční a hygienická opatření neumožní zpracovávat velké počty žádostí.

V době od 1. do 20. září 2020 vyřídíme přednostně ty žádosti o dlouhodobé české vízum, které byly podány před 14. březnem 2020. U žádostí, které byly zamítnuty, budeme muset doručit žadatelům příslušné rozhodnutí, aby se proti němu mohli eventuálně odvolat. A u žádostí, které byly vyřízeny kladně, budeme vyznačovat vízový štítek do přinesených nebo poslaných pasů. Všechny osoby však budou muset mít předem sjednaný termín.

V další etapě budeme vyřizovat žádosti o víza těch žadatelů, kteří mají v České republice povolen dlouhodobý nebo trvalý pobyt, ale kterým vypršela platnost průkazu o tomto pobytu.

Dále upřednostníme studenty, kteří budou cestovat do České republiky za účelem studia ve studijním programu akreditovaném Ministerstvem školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy ČR. Prioritu budou mít také držitelé stipendií udělených vládou České republiky a stipendií Evropské unie typu Erasmus+. Dále budou mít přednost žadatelé o vízum nominovaní do režimu STUDENT jejich českou vysokou školou.

Pokud všechno půjde dobře a nedojde k zavlečení koronaviru na konzulární oddělení velvyslanectví, přibližně od 1. října 2020 by pak měly přijít na řadu i žádosti o dlouhodobé vízum za jiným účelem.

Žádosti o krátkodobé Schengenské vízum typu C za účelem turistiky zatím nebudou přijímány.

V případě Schengenských víz budou zatím vyřizovány žádosti rodinných příslušníků občanů Evropské unie a v dalších zřetele hodných případech. Všechny tyto žádosti je třeba nahlásit emailem zaslaným na adresu [email protected] a požádat o přidělení termínu podání žádosti.

Česká ambasáda v Dillí udělá maximum, co bude moci, ale nemůže udělat zázraky. Prosíme proto všechny žadatele, aby byli trpěliví, protože je jasné, že nelze uspokojit hned všechny žadatele o vízum. Budeme dělat všechno, co je v našich silách.

Prioritně se budeme věnovat vyřizování jednotlivých žádostí a ne neustálému odpovídání na telefonické a emailové dotazy. Proto je vízová infolinka české ambasády v Dillí omezena jen na každý pracovní den od 14:00 do 15:00 hodin indického času na telefonním čísle +91 11 2415 5265. I know some of you probably weren't able to attend the webinar today so here is the summary of the updates -

COVID 19 and visas - all visa application centers are closed right now, they will open soon. Exact dates are not available yet. In talks to have Government approvals for the same. But, don't see any issues for South Asian students for their applications this summer and they will be able to apply in time. However, Priority and super-priority visas won't be available immediately. At the moment the standard processing time will be 15 working days.

Quarantine - Everyone traveling to the UK will have to quarantine for 14 days and this applies to students as well. Universities are now working on having arrangements for this.

Policies - a student who is stuck in the UK can now extend their visas and can only travel back to their home country once visa centers are open.

Health in the UK - IHS will give full access to NHS and that includes COVID treatment. And the test does not carry any charge and the treatment does not carry any charge. Students on the TIER 4 visa will have the same rights as British citizens.

GIR - It is very much happening. It's guaranteed by Home Secretary and PM. Further information will be shared soon. An official statement will be announced soon this summer.

Tier 4 process - the process will remain the same, there will be no changes in funding requirements, a TB test will be required. Like before, the process will be to apply online and later come to VFS to submit documents. There will be no e-visa process for the UK. It will remain the same as biometrics is important to have visibility in the system. The entire visa application and document submission process will involve social distancing measures, regular sanitization, use of masks and gloves, etc.

Q & A session:
Dependants will only be allowed at the PG level. And they will need to show maintenance fees for dependents. Dependants are allowed to work full time.

HND HNC programs won't be eligible for GIR.

Students going to the UK increased by 136% from last year.

IHS is increased - the exact cost will be updated soon. Not good news, but NHS has been doing a lot and students get a full health cover in return. It's just 1% of your student fee.

Online and on-campus delivery - Looking to announce further information on this soon this summer. Expecting students to do the majority of the course physically in the UK. If the first couple of months are done outside the UK, they should still be able to apply for GIR.

COVID 19 test is not mandatory for students to apply for visas.

Not just STEM but all students eligible for GIR.

After GIR, you need a Tier 2 visa to stay back and work. The minimum salary required 25600 GBP. A sponsor will be required.

Accommodation evidence not mandatory for tier 4 visas. But it's better to have this arranged well in time.

Summer in the UK - June, July, August.

If a student gets a tier 4 visa and can't travel due to lockdown, their visas will be extended. They will need to go to VFS and renew it but they don't need to pay anything again.
