Government Arts College, Maninagar, Ahmedabad successfully hosted a two-day National Level Conference on the theme β€œConversation on Conservation: Preserving the Globe for Future Generations.”
The conference featured insightful paper presentations and a creative poster competition, encouraging meaningful academic dialogue on environmental conservation. A Book of Abstracts was formally inaugurated on the occasion.
Adding a cultural touch, an exhibition of local art and crafts was organized, showcasing the rich heritage of Gujarat β€” including Patola silk art, pottery, Lippan art, Pichhwai art, and many more traditional forms.
Guests were also taken on a short visit to the K. K. Shastri Museum, enriching the academic experience with historical and cultural learning.

77th Republic Day Celebration at Government Arts College, Maninagar, Ahmedabad
The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm at Government Arts College, Maninagar, Ahmedabad. The programme began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
A disciplined and impressive parade was presented by the NCC girl cadets, which filled the atmosphere with pride and national spirit. Their synchronized march reflected dedication, confidence, and respect for the nation.
Students and faculty members actively participated in the celebration. Speeches highlighted the significance of Republic Day and the values of democracy, justice, and equality enshrined in the Constitution of India.

National Youth Day Celebration | 12 January 2026
Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary was celebrated as National Youth Day on 12 January 2026 at Government Arts College, Maninagar, Ahmedabad. The programme was organized by the students of B.A.F.Y. Semester–2, History Department.
The celebration was followed by an elocution competition, where students expressed their thoughts on the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and the role of youth in nation-building. The event inspired students to follow the values of confidence, discipline, and service to society.
