Success story of VLE Harak from Narayan Bagar (Uarakhand)

Harak Singh runs his CSC center at Narayan Bagar (Chamoli, Uarakhand). He utlised his educaon
and professional training in providing amenies to the villagers through his CSC. People in his village
earlier had to travel to the nearby town for accessing basic amenities like money and other digital
services. This was an expensive and laborious task for the villagers. Seeing these hardships of the
villagers VLE started CSC and opened his own digital shop. Mr. Singh came to be recognized as a most
reliable person in his community and village. With his great communication skills that helped him
connect with people, in a short span of me, he made CSC popular in the area. Life of residents was
not easy, but are commissioning of the CSC centre in the area, people are being benefited by the
large array of services delivered by CSC. He says: “Due to my work, people of my village respect me
and trust me. People are recognizing the importance of me. And this is the most important part of my
journey. They rely on my CSC for fulfilling their service needs.”
