The students of Jim Corbett Public School recently stepped out of their textbooks and into the Sikandra Water Treatment Plant for an eye-opening educational visit!

Here is a look at their journey to understanding where our water comes from:

• Hands-on Learning: Students witnessed the journey of water from the Yamuna River through complex stages like chlorination, filtration, and UV treatment to become safe for drinking.

• The Flag-Off: Principal Suhani Chauhan kicked off the trip, emphasizing that practical experience is the best way to build sensitivity toward our natural resources.

• A Call to Action: After learning about the immense effort required to produce every drop, students took a pledge to conserve water and spread the message of sustainability in their own neighborhoods.

• Expert Guidance: A huge thanks to the Jal Sansthan officials, including Deputy Manager Ashok Kumar Singh and Chemist Arun Kumar Dwivedi, for sharing their technical expertise with our future leaders.

*Jim Corbett School Celebrates Earth Day with Enthusiasm and Environmental Commitment*

Jim Corbett School marked *Earth Day* with great enthusiasm, spreading awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living among students.

The celebration began with a ceremonial *lamp lighting* by Chairman and Founder *Er RK Singh Raghav*, Director *Dr. Meena Raghav**, and Principal Director **Er Suhani Chauhan*, setting a positive and inspiring tone for the event.

A *special assembly* was conducted where students shared thoughts on protecting nature and the urgent need to adopt eco-friendly habits. Adding a practical dimension to the celebration, Class 5 students participated in a *“without fire cooking” activity*, promoting energy conservation and sustainable practices.

To encourage creativity and environmental awareness, competitions such as *collage making, poster making, and model making* were organized for students from Class 1 onwards. The activities were efficiently guided by Coordinators *Meenu Gautam* and *Ajit Pratap Singh*, along with the dedicated efforts of teachers **Toushid Khan**, **Shivani Kaushik**, **Sindhu Kumari**, **Ayushi Rajput**, **Surbhi Sharma**, **Ritu Singh**, **Ramveer Parmar**, **Kalpana**, and **Babita Sharma**.

As part of the celebration, students and teachers **took a pledge to protect and preserve the Earth**, reaffirming their commitment to a greener future. The school also organized a **tree plantation drive**, where saplings were planted across the campus, symbolizing hope, growth, and responsibility towards the environment.

**Earth Day**, first celebrated in 1970 and initiated by **Ga***rd Nelson**, is now observed globally to inspire collective action for environmental protection. The celebration at Jim Corbett School concluded with a strong message that every individual effort contributes to safeguarding our planet for future generations.
