Anand College of Pharmacy celebrated the "Diwali Fest"

Aarogya Health Club at Anand College of Pharmacy organized National Cancer Awareness Day with the theme "Cancer Awareness: Together We Can Create a Better Healthy World" at Sir CV Raman Auditorium on November 7, 2023, to raise awareness about cancer and emphasize the collective efforts required to build a healthier world.



Prof. (Dr.) K. J. Gohil, the Dean of Anand College of Pharmacy, warmly welcomed attendees, underscored the importance of National Cancer Awareness Day, and highlighted the significance of early detection, prevention, and awareness campaigns in the fight against cancer.

Dr. Neeraj Rajput, a distinguished oncologist from Pushpanjli Hospital in Agra, was the Chief Guest. He provided valuable insights into different types of cancer, their diagnosis, and available treatment options, offering a comprehensive perspective on the subject.

The event also had the Guest of Honor, Mr. Murari Prasad Agrawal, representing Ekta Builders, Agra, and Mr. Manish Agarwal, President of Agrasena, Agra who enriched the event's prestige.

A vital component of the event was an informative oral PowerPoint presentation that covered various topics related to cancer. The presentation was followed by an interactive question and answer session, allowing the audience to engage with the topic actively. Experts and healthcare professionals were present to address queries, enhancing the event's educational and interactive nature.

In the competition segment, Ms. Gunjan Soni (B.Pharm.III Year), Mr. Vikhyat Dixit (B.Pharm. I Year), and Ms. Parul Kushwaha (B.Pharm. I Year) clinched the first, second, and third prizes, respectively.

Throughout the event, Prof. (Dr.) Gyanendra Kumar Sharma (CAC and HOD Pharm. Chemistry), Dr. Rekha T. Rajput (COE and HOD Pharmacognosy), Dr. Ritesh Kumar (HOD Pharmaceutics), and Dr. Manish Pal Singh (HOD Pharmacology) were present along with other faculty and staff members.

Mr. Hariom Dwivedi (B.Pharm IVth Year) and Mr. Kapil Sharma (B.Pharm IIIrd Year) served as the student coordinators along with Mr. Vikas Sharma (Registrar), Mr. Ashutosh Solanki (Asst. Prof.), and Mrs. Aastha Sharma (Asst. Prof.) as the faculty coordinators of the event.

Students of Anand College of Pharmacy, SGI displayed remarkable enthusiasm and competitive spirit during the recent Dr. Abdul Kalam Zonal Sports Fest, held on November 3-4, 2023, at the RBS Engineering Technical Campus in Bichpuri, Agra. The event brought together colleges from the Agra zone, all affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, in a series of exciting sports competitions.

Ms. Ishika Yadav (B. Pharm. Ist year), won gold medals in the 100 m and 200 m races. In the field events, Ms. Soniya Kushwah (B. Pharm. IInd year) clinched gold in both the long jump and the high jump. Our girls' Kabaddi team demonstrated exceptional skills and secured a silver medal. These accomplishments underscore the dedication and talent of our students.

Prof. (Dr.) K. J. Gohil, Dean congratulated all the winners and participants for their enthusiastic and energetic involvement in this sport and said that they have the potential to excel not only at the state but also at the national level in their chosen sports and advised them to push their boundaries and strive for greatness.

The coordinators of this event were Mr. Saurabh Bharadwaj (Asst. Prof.), Mr. Surendra Kumar Sharma (Lecturer), and Ms. Gunjan Sharma (Asst. Prof.). The faculty and staff members also extended unwavering support and motivation to the participating students. The Executive Vice president of the SGI group, Prof. V. K. Sharma, and Hon. Vice-chairman Shri Y. K. Gupta congratulated all the students, faculty, and staff members on this occasion.

Anand Engineering College took a significant step towards enhancing the cognitive abilities of its first-year students on Thursday, September 21, 2023, by organizing an exclusive Memory Workshop. This engaging event was conducted by the renowned Memory Trainer, Mr. Shyam Kapoor, Director of Motivational Unlimited. The workshop was specially designed for the newly inducted students of the B. Tech, BCA, and BBA departments, aiming to empower them with valuable memory enhancement techniques. Throughout the day, students participated enthusiastically in various memory-improvement exercises, with the guidance of Mr. Kapoor.
