🇮🇳India plans to roll out ARC, a rupee-backed stablecoin in Q1 2026.

Built by & Anq, ARC is designed to operate under Reserve Bank of India’s CBDC framework.

India to launch it's sovereign-backed digital token. Polygon + Anq working on it.
The digital currency model will be Asset Reserve Certificate (ARC).
Each ARC token issued will be pegged to value of Indian Government Securities or Treasury Bills.

Design as a twin-rupee framework. RBI’s Digital Rupee acts as the official settlement layer.
ARC becomes a programmable layer built by regulated private player and RBI to retain full control over monetary policy.
