Ekalavya Campus Organizes ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra’ under Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan-2026

Agartala, 14 August 2026: Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, Agartala, organized a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra’ on 14 August 2026 as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan-2026, being observed from 9 to 15 August 2026 across the country.
The Tiranga Yatra commenced from the premises of the Ekalavya Campus at 4:00 p.m. and was organized with the active participation of NCC cadets and NSS volunteers of the Campus. The programme aimed to foster patriotism, national pride, public awareness and a sense of responsibility towards the nation.
The participating NCC cadets and NSS volunteers took part in the Yatra with enthusiasm and discipline, carrying the National Flag, the Tiranga, and spreading the message of national unity and pride. Faculty members, students and employees of the Campus were also participated at the commencement of the Yatra and extend their support to the initiative. Almost the entire neighborhood area namely Sipai Para was covered under this campaign.
The programme highlighted the spirit of “Har Ghar Tiranga – Har Dil Tiranga” and encouraged members of the University community to actively contribute to the success of the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan-2026.
The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. Gurucharan Singh Negi, Director, Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, Agartala. The initiative reflected the University's commitment to promoting patriotism, national integration, civic responsibility and awareness among students and the wider community.
The Yatra concluded with a renewed collective spirit of respect and pride for the National Flag and the nation.

Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, Lembucherra, successfully organized Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam (ABSS)–2026 on 05 August 2026 with the objective of promoting academic discourse on contemporary educational reforms, the Indian Knowledge System (IKS), the National Education Policy (NEP)–2020, the National Credit Framework (NCRF), and the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of faculty members, research scholars, students, and non-teaching staff of the campus.
The programme commenced at 11:00 a.m. with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the distinguished dignitaries along with the Vedic incantation by Dr. Ashish Mishra, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance through the light of knowledge. The gathering then respectfully honoured the National Song, followed by the Kulgeet of Central Sanskrit University, reaffirming the University's commitment to academic excellence and national values.
The academic session began with a Panel Discussion featuring eminent faculty members. Prof. Sushanta Kumar Raj, Associate Director of the campus, delivered an insightful lecture on "Indian Knowledge System", highlighting the relevance of India's rich intellectual traditions in contemporary education and emphasizing the integration of indigenous knowledge with modern pedagogical practices.
The second presentation was delivered by Prof. B. P. M. Srinivas, Head of the Department (Shiksha Shastra) on "NEP-2020 & NCRF". He elaborated on the transformative provisions of the National Education Policy-2020, multidisciplinary education, Academic Bank of Credits, flexible curriculum, and the significance of the National Credit Framework in facilitating seamless academic mobility and skill-based education.
The third panel speaker, Dr. Umesh Chandra Mishra, HoD (Vyakaran) addressed the gathering on "Viksit Bharat @2047". He discussed the national vision of transforming India into a developed nation by the centenary of Independence and highlighted the crucial role of higher educational institutions in fostering innovation, research, entrepreneurship, ethical values, and nation-building.

'नशा मुक्त युवा फॉर विकसित भारत' – एक सशक्त और समृद्ध कल की ओर ठोस कदम! 🇮🇳

आज अगरतला, त्रिपुरा स्थित केन्द्रीय संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय, एकलव्य परिसर में भारत सरकार के शिक्षा मंत्रालय एवं युवा कार्यक्रम तथा खेल मंत्रालय के निर्देशों के अनुपालन में 'नशा मुक्त युवा फॉर विकसित भारत' अभियान के अंतर्गत मुख्य कार्यक्रम का भव्य आयोजन किया गया।

परिसर निदेशक प्रो. गुरुचरण सिंह नेगी एवं सह-निदेशक प्रो. सुशान्त कुमार राज के कुशल मार्गदर्शन में आयोजित इस गरिमापूर्ण कार्यक्रम में विश्वविद्यालय के समस्त विद्याशाखाध्यक्ष, प्राध्यापकगण, अधिकारी, गैर-शिक्षण कर्मचारी, एनसीसी व एनएसएस समन्वयक, छात्रावासों के वार्डन तथा सभी छात्र-छात्राओं की शत-प्रतिशत उत्साहजनक सहभागिता रही।

कार्यक्रम का मुख्य आकर्षण नई दिल्ली से आयोजित केंद्रीय वर्चुअली कार्यक्रम का सजीव प्रसारण रहा। सभागार में उपस्थित संपूर्ण परिसर परिवार ने दिल्ली से ही प्रसारित
माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी के प्रेरणादायी राष्ट्रव्यापी संबोधन को ध्यानपूर्वक सुना। प्रधानमंत्री जी ने अपने संदेश में युवाओं को नशे की सामाजिक बुराइयों से दूर रहकर 'विकसित भारत@2047' के निर्माण में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाने का आह्वान किया। इस दौरान दिल्ली से ही वर्चुअली प्रसारित एक अत्यंत संवेदनशील नुक्कड़ नाटक का भी सजीव प्रसारण दिखाया गया, जिसने नशे के घातक दुष्प्रभावों को प्रभावी ढंग से रेखांकित किया।

संबोधन के उपरांत, परिसर निदेशक महोदय की अगुवाई में सभागार में उपस्थित समस्त संकाय सदस्यों, कर्मचारियों एवं विद्यार्थियों ने सामूहिक रूप से नशामुक्त जीवन अपनाने तथा राष्ट्र निर्माण में योगदान देने की डिजिटल शपथ ग्रहण की। इसके साथ ही यह संकल्प भी लिया गया कि इस राष्ट्रव्यापी अभियान की निरंतरता बनाए रखने के लिए आगामी 100 सप्ताहों तक प्रत्येक रविवार को परिसर में कला, खेल, ध्यान सत्र एवं विविध जागरूकता प्रतियोगिताओं का निरंतर आयोजन किया जाएगा।

Central Sanskrit University Organises Gift Deed Signing Session for Proposed Museum

Agartala, 23 July 2026:

Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, Agartala, organised the Gift Deed Signing Session for the Proposed Museum at the Multipurpose Hall of the Campus on Thursday. The programme marked a significant milestone towards the establishment of a museum dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich cultural, historical, and intellectual heritage associated with Sanskrit and the Indian Knowledge System.

The programme commenced with honouring the National song & Kulgeet of the University by all the dignitaries, staff & students symbolising the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment.

Shri Tapas Kumar Nath, Section Officer (Accounts), delivered the Keynote-cum-Welcome Address, extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and highlighting the significance of the proposed museum as a centre for education, research, cultural preservation, and community engagement.
The dignitaries were felicitated by the staff members of the Campus in recognition of their valuable presence and support.

Addressing the gathering as the Guest of Honour, Shri Mangesh Indapawar, CEO, Anuchanam, emphasised the importance of preserving cultural heritage through museums and appreciated the initiative taken by Central Sanskrit University in establishing such a valuable repository for future generations.

The Chief Guest, Shri Saikat Acharjee, Owner of Rajendra Kirtishala was felicitated who shared his experiences in preserving traditional artefacts and expressed his commitment to supporting the University's endeavour in developing the proposed museum.

In his Chairperson's Address, Prof. G. C. S. Negi, Director, Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, underlined the educational significance of museums as centres of experiential learning, research, and preservation of India's rich cultural and intellectual traditions. He stated that the proposed museum would serve as a valuable academic resource for students, researchers, scholars, and the wider community.

Handing Over & Taking Over of Newly Constructed Staff Quarters
A significant milestone was achieved at Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, Agartala, with the successful completion of the formal Handing Over & Taking Over of the newly constructed residential infrastructure on 20th July, 2026 at the Taranagar Campus Premises.
The process covered the Director's Bungalow, 16 Type-IV Staff Quarters, 4 Type-III Staff Quarters, and 4 Type-II Staff Quarters, which were formally handed over by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Tripura to the University in the presence of officials of both organizations.
The proceedings were conducted under the Chairmanship of Prof. G. C. S. Negi, Director, in the presence of representatives from Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, faculty members, administrative officers, Estate Section officials, and officers of CPWD (Civil & Electrical).
