ফাঁসির সাজা ঘোষণা শুনে শুধু হেসেছিলেন। ফাঁসিকাঠে দাঁড়িয়ে যখন কালো মুখোশ পরানো হল, তখনও শেষবারের মতো দেখাগিয়েছিল সেই হাসি। তাঁর ফাঁসির পর ব্রিটিশ পত্রিকা ‘এম্পায়ার’এ প্রকাশিত হয়, ‘…নিথর মৃতদেহ। কিন্তু, মুখের হাসি সেই হাসি।’ এভাবেই দেশের জন্য প্রাণ দিয়েছিলেন বিপ্লবী ক্ষুদিরাম বসু। এই অগ্নিযুবকই হলেন ভারতবর্ষের স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের কনিষ্ঠতম শহিদ। আজ তাঁর ১১২তম মৃত্যুদিবস।
