Vande Bharat Express Scripts Medical History: India's First Live Heart Transport by Train

Indian Railways successfully completed India's first transportation of a live human heart by train for organ transplantation.
The heart was transported aboard the Mumbai Central–Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20901).
Route: Surat → Ahmedabad (Gujarat).

The organ was transplanted at the U.N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre, Ahmedabad.
A Green Corridor was created by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Gujarat Police to ensure rapid transport from Ahmedabad Railway Station to the hospital.
