Strengthening the Quality of Education in Tripura .
Following the guidance of Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, the Education Department is continuously monitoring schools to improve the quality of education, especially in rural areas.
On 16.06.2026, Education Secretary Shri Milind Ramteke held a review meeting at Ambassa Town Hall with the heads of 400 schools under Ambassa, Manu, and Chawmanu blocks. The discussion focused on strengthening foundational learning, improving teaching methods, and regularly assessing students’ learning progress.The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring quality education and stronger learning foundations for every child across the state.

( Learning About Animals and Their Young Ones )

The tiny tots of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray Smriti Vidyamandir, Agartala, Tripura joyfully explored different animals and their young ones through a fun-filled learning activity. Such activities not only build language and logical thinking skills but also nurture empathy, curiosity, and love for animals among children. Learning becomes more meaningful when curiosity leads the way.

( Threading Beads Activity with the Tiny Tots of Balvatika-I )

The little learners of Balvatika-I at Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray Smriti Vidyamandir, Agartala enthusiastically participated in a joyful Threading Beads Activity. Threading beads is not just fun it is a powerful developmental activity that strengthens fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and patience. By carefully guiding the string through tiny holes, children develop their pincer grasp, which plays an important role in everyday skills like holding pencils, buttoning clothes, and writing. The smiles, focus, and excitement of our tiny tots made the activity truly delightful and meaningful. Learning through play builds confident and creative young minds.

Knowing about body parts is a step towards knowing oneself. As part of the Theme-Based Learning Approach, the students of Balvatika III at UDAIPUR ENGLISH MEDIUM HS SCHOOL , Tripura enthusiastically participated in a classroom activity on matching body parts. The little learners explored, identified, and matched different body parts with great excitement and curiosity. Such playful and activity-based learning helps children develop self-awareness, observation skills, and confidence in a joyful environment. Learning through play makes every child happy and engaged.

The students of Balvatika II, Udaipur English Medium HS School enthusiastically participated in a Colour and Shape Matching Activity. Through this fun-filled activity, they learned to identify colours and shapes, laying a strong foundation for pre-math concepts.

| Within 24 hours of a high-level review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister focusing on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and educational monitoring, the Directorate of Elementary Education on Tuesday launched the state’s first-ever Online School Monitoring System aimed at ensuring real-time monitoring and improving the quality of foundational education.
