Brief bio on Prof. Ananda Lal –
Born in 1955, Prof. Ananda Lal, first encountered the enchantment of theatre by participating in plays as a student of St. Xavier’s School, Kolkata. He got hands-on experience of learning theatre from a Kolkata based group called The Red Curtain, which he officially joined after completing school in 1973. A graduate of Presidency College and the University of Calcutta (BA 1976, MA 1978), Prof. Ananda realized that he desired to further study world theatre in-depth, and thus pursued and completed a Ph.D. in Theatre from the University of Illinois, USA, in 1986.

Brief bio on Dr. Urmimala Sarkar Munsi –
Dr. Urmimala Sarkar Munsi is an associate professor of Theatre and Performance Studies, at the School of Arts and Aesthetics, at the reputed Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her specialization is in Dance Studies, Visual Anthropology & Ethnographic research.
