🌱 at Deepti Special School

We believe farming is becoming a family activity once again. Modern life may have pushed us away from the soil, but it’s time to remind our children that farming is not just blue-collar work; it’s something that nourishes all of us. Through our horticulture therapy initiative, our students engage in planting, tending, smelling, touching, and watching plants grow. This process becomes a holistic refreshment for both mind and body, like meditation in motion: the five senses awaken, the mind slows down, and the heart becomes calm.

As renowned neurologist once wrote:
“All of us have had the experience of wandering through a lush garden … and finding ourselves simultaneously calmed and reinvigorated, engaged in mind, refreshed in body and spirit.”

We are excited to share a selection of our posters today that highlight the success of our horticulture therapy program at Deepti Special School. May it serve as an encouragement to everyone reading this post. Together, let’s help our children grow, thrive, and find their peace in the garden of life.🌱

Special thanks to Agriculture Department, Erathu LSG, for their guidance and support.
