Thinking of you all in this time and hope you are staying safe 💕

Today’s the 23 of Sivan and it holds tremendous strength!

*23 Sivan – A Day of Special Opportunity and Blessing*

In 1983, during a farbrengen on Parshas Shlach, the Rebbe spoke about the significance of the 23rd of Sivan.

The Rebbe explained that in Megillas Esther, after Haman was hanged, it was on the 23rd of Sivan that “the king’s scribes were summoned.” On that day, Mordechai instructed them to write the royal decree that empowered the Jewish people to defend themselves and defeat their enemies 💪, effectively overturning the decree of destruction. This became the foundation for the salvation and joy of Purim.

**The Rebbe emphasized that every event in the Torah is eternal and reawakens each year**

Just as the king’s scribes were called upon then to write a decree of salvation, so too every 23 Sivan, the “scribes of the King” are called upon once again. Our sages explain that Achashverosh alludes to the King of all kings, Hashem.

The Rebbe added that every Jew possesses the strength of Mordechai, a Jew who refuses to bow to anything opposed to Torah and holiness ✨

Therefore, today the 23 Sivan is a day of special spiritual power, when every Jew can turn to Hashem with their requests and prayers and writing our own “good decrees” for ourselves, our families, and the entire Jewish people. Above all, it is a day to pray for Geulah, speedily in our days.

*For our COTC TLV community, this message feels particularly meaningful this year.*

As we continue to fight the modern day Haman, we can use this day to strengthen our prayers for the safety and protection of our people, for healing, unity, and for revealed blessings for Am Yisrael!

May we merit to see the fulfillment
ליהודים היתה אורה ושמחה וששן ויקר כן תהיה לנו ...
with true peace, security, and the complete redemption! Amen!

Stay safe & we are here for you!

Shabbat Shalom Chabad on the Coast family!

In this week’s Parsha, Shelach, Moshe sends twelve spies to scout the Land of Israel. Ten return with fear and doubt, while Calev and Yehoshua, seeing the presence of Hashem, declare: “עלה נעלה We shall surely go up!”

For many of us who have made aliyah, served as lone soldiers, and are building a life here in Israel, their message feels deeply personal. There are moments when the challenges seem bigger than we are. Yet Calev and Yehoshua remind us that while the challenges are real, so is the opportunity, and that Hashem believes in us even when we doubt ourselves. May we see our lives, our community, and our future through eyes of faith, courage, and infinite possibility.💫

*Summer Schedule Reminder:* 📌
Mincha on Friday evenings begins at 7:00 PM throughout the summer, followed by Kabbalat Shabbat, meditation and Maariv.

Wishing you a peaceful and blessed Shabbat!

Rabbi Eli & Sara 💙

Erev Shabbat Shalom Chabad on the Coast!

This week’s parsha of Behalotcha opens with the lighting the Menorah. Chasidut teaches us that every Jew is a flame. Our work in this world is not just to shine, but to help kindle the hidden light in one another, until it burns on its own.

May this Shabbat be filled with light, love, peace, and may we continue to share many more Smachot together bezH!!! 🕎

Shabbat Shalom Umivorach ,
Rabbi Eli & Sara 🙏
