Nitzan’s International Conference in Partnership
with Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania:
“Social Emotional Learning to empower students with learning disabilities and ADHD”
The Conference is the result of a long-term relationship and collaboration between the Nitzan Association for the Advancement of Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities and ADHD and Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania.
The purpose of the Conference is to bring together researchers and scientists from different countries to work together for a better world where professional and human cooperation is of utmost importance.
The cultivation of social emotional skills (SEL) is now considered an important and integral part of education and learning processes in Israel and around the world.
The education system emphasizes aspects of teaching in order to strengthen the emotional resilience and sense of competence of the students.
Although dealing with social emotional learning has been an important aspect in the educational field, the Corona pandemic with its effects on the students such as: social distancing, emotional and behavioral problems, increasing learning gaps, and other difficulties putting our students at risk, has increased awareness and sensitivity to this issue.
It is important to provide educators with effective coping tools so that they can create a safe and nurturing environment for their students, encouraging growth and effective learning.
This Conference will emphasize the significance of SEL for students in general, and for students with learning disabilities and ADHD in particular.
Leading lecturers in their field from Israel, Europe and the US, will present various aspects for the development of social emotional skills in education, assistance programs for complex social and emotional situations in the digital environment, and innovative educational technologies for enhancing learning experiences.
At the end of the Conference, a lecture by Richard Lavoie, a prominent educator, author, consultant, and lecturer, who became famous in Israel and abroad for his virtuoso ability to illustrate the experience and the daily challenges that a student with a learning disabilities and ADHD is facing in a regular classroom.
The Conference is intended for: Researchers from the fields of Education, Emotional Therapy, Parent’s Guidance, Universities, professionals and service providers from the fields of, Education, Therapy, Learning Disabilities, NGO’s, professionals from: Youth and Support Centers, Inclusive Education, and Safe Communities.
The Conference will be held on April 27, 2022, from 10-17: 30 via Zoom.

The first international conference of educational innovation is taking place this week in Mexico City. The conference was initiated by Hani Weitzman the principal of the Hebrew College Tarbut in Mexico City. Representatives from over the world, including Latin America as well as a delegation of leading educators from Israel participated in this conference.

Dr. Maly Danino, CEO of Nitzan Association was invited to conference to present the E.C.C – Emotional Cognitive Coaching method for parents that was developed by her and is applied successfully for the last decade in Israel and abroad. She gave a lecture on the method to a big crowd, as well as facilitating a “knowledge table” and meeting with the school’s phycologist.
The enthusiastic reactions open opportunities for collaboration in Mexico City and in Israel.

The E.C.C. – Emotional Cognitive Coaching method, developed in Nitzan (the Israeli association for learning disabilities and ADHD) by Dr. Maly Danino arrived to Nigeria!
Dr. Maly Danino, CEO of Nitzan was invited by Mashav – Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation of the foreign ministry of Israel, to deliver ten days of workshops in the E.C.C method to professional, teachers and care givers of people with special needs in Nigeria.
These workshops were under the auspices of the federal ministry for women affaires and social development and the Minister of women affairs, Mrs. Hajia Aisha Abubakar.
During these workshops the participant discovered the internal values that move them, reacquainted themselves with their own strengths and weaknesses, and received new insights, which they can apply to their daily and professional lives.

Overseas supervision

Dr. Maly Danino and Anat Katznelson are guiding long distance the group of psychologists and social pedagogues, selected by the Lithuanian ministry of education.
Following the two week training in the "Coach Your Child To Success" program by the E.C.C. method, this group has received last December. This program has been adopted and integrated by the Lithuanian Ministry of education and science.
This program is being implemented in the pedagogic and psychology centers in Lithuania by the senior psychologists and social pedagogues that graduated our training program.
This group of professionals meets once a month throughout the year. These are supervision meetings in which participants can raise professional dilemmas, peer consultation and ways of implementation and assimilation of the method.
Israel's ambassador to Lithuania, Mr. Amir Maimon participated in the last meeting that took place on March 30 as well as in the first supervision meeting.
