I have been receiving lately many new requests to join lessons, so I feel it is time to update here officially about my recent changes and activities for those who are still not sure where to find me teaching.
So, for those who aren’t updated yet: In the past year, I've been relocating my practice and my Chen Bing Taiji Academy teaching to Europe. After a break of more than 15 years from the University world, I am "back on the student bench", joining a very special and interesting Master's program at Hamburg University, continuing with my long-term interest in Chinese culture and religion and with a specific direction towards learning more about Body and Qi movement practices in China.
Due to this geography shift, I am currently teaching my students in an ONLINE format, while also joining Marius's classes in his Chen Bing Taiji Academy – Hamburg branch.
In the online program, students can find classes for different levels, and in these few months, we are mainly focusing on Chen style Laojia (old frame) first AND second routine and extra materials such as Qigong and Taiji Fan. We work slowly and gradually and I make sure to have time for both general and personal corrections. Every lesson is recorded for those who are registered and can be reviewed between classes. Private sessions are also available in case of specific need or interest.
Between the semesters (and while the situation in Israel allows, which unfortunately wasn't so easy recently) I will visit Tel Aviv and Jerusalem to meet up physically with the groups.
The lessons are all in both Hebrew and English, and lately, we had participants joining from all around Europe and even from the US. It seems we have a growing diverse community of Chen Taiji lovers and I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know everyone.

For those in Israel who still prefer physical classes in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, here are some options for Chen-style teachers connected to our school:
In Jerusalem – our dear Taiji brother alaa continues his teaching activities at Chen Bing Taiji Academy Jerusalem and you are all welcome to contact him for classes in Jerusalem.
In Tel Aviv – my dear student Maciek is continuing to work with the students on contents from our method and combining the knowledge he acquired over the years from other Chen-style methods. You are welcome to contact him for North Tel Aviv area classes.
At Tel Aviv University – the talented Nitai is taking care of the Chen-style Confucius Institute group on campus. He is publishing when the new semester starts and you can follow him on that.
For other styles and methods –I’ll be more than happy to recommend more teachers in private :) .
Lastly - an invitation to you Chen style practitioners for a special “closing of the Hebrew year session” tomorrow morning (Wednesday at 10:45 IL time). We will meet for a shared “classical” practice of Fang Song Gong and Laojia Yilu.
On a personal note I will share that although it is the evening of the new year tomorrow, I don’t really have any festive feeling as long as the war is going on and so many people suffer and die from all sides. Nevertheless, I suggest to meet for a shared practice with the simple intention of each one looking for quietness and harmony within him/herself, even if for just one hour in these chaotic days, and from that place in the practice to say goodbye to the difficult year ending, and to welcome the new one with a wish for a hopefully much better year.
