IN PRESENCE OF SOMALILAND PRESIDENT

The Ambassadors club participated this morning at the first economic encounter between the two countries.
The club vice president, Dr Nir Gess,businessman and Honorary Consul of Malawi was present together with the club president.

The Ambassadors' Club
welcomes the opening ,in Jerusalem, of the Embassy of the Republic of Somaliland, in presence of the President of Somaliland and Israel's Foreign Minister.

במהלך הביקור מועדון השגרירים העניק תעודת הוקרה ליור "לקט ישראל" מר ג'וזף גיטלר.

Today, the Ambassadors’ Club of Israel had the privilege of leading a special diplomatic visit to Leket Israel, Israel’s National Food Bank and leading food rescue organization.

During the visit, Ambassadors and Diplomats learned about Leket Israel’s remarkable work in rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to vulnerable populations across the country. The delegation also took part in a volunteer activity, helping sort and pack food for families in need.

A special highlight of the visit was the presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation by our president, Ambassador Yitzhak Eldan and our CEO, Mr. Itsik Kamilian to Mr. Joseph Gitler, in recognition of his extraordinary vision and leadership in establishing and growing Israel’s largest food rescue organization. Joseph founded Leket Israel in 2003 and serves as its Founder and Chairman. 

The visit provided a unique opportunity to experience firsthand how innovation, volunteerism, and social responsibility come together to make a meaningful impact on Israeli society.

Our sincere thanks to Joseph Gitler and the entire Leket Israel team for their warm hospitality and for sharing their inspiring mission with the diplomatic community.

The Ambassadors' Club of Israel aplauds the innovative diplomatic initiative of the Ambassador of Thailand to Israel,to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Israel not in a hotel, as usual,but through a trip to THE ZEOLOGICAL GARDENS IN JERUSALEM offered by Israel railways company.
In the Zoo "we met" four elephants donated by the king of Thailand in 1992.
What a wonderful way to celebrate the friendship between our two countries.!!
