Kellogg-Recanati Executive MBA Program at the Coller School of Management

16/08/2026

Our Dear friend and mentor , Professor Gadi Ariav passed away last night and we already miss him !
Gadi was one of the founders of the Executive MBA Programs at TAU and served for many years as its Academic Director
Over the years, he played a pivotal role in shaping and leading programs that influenced generations of managers & Executives in Israel and around the world.
Yet beyond all his impressive titles and achievements, Gadi was, for us here , a truly exceptional leader and an inspiration. wise, humble, generous, and gifted with a rare ability to spark curiosity and inspire new ways of thinking. Gadi was known for his everlasting optimism, and genuine smile he shared so generously with everyone around him.
Even after stepping down from his academic leadership roles, Gadi continued to lead the opening welcome orientation sessions to all the new EMBA Cohorts of the Executive MBA programs. So even students who never had the opportunity to take one of his courses came to know him during their very first encounter with the program. Gadi always shared his creative & different way of thinking, challenged assumptions, raised meaningful questions and discussions in class , and created a personal connection that endured long after the meeting had ended.
Gadi will be deeply missed
May his memory be a blessing. 🕯️

Interesting article written by Shiran Mlamdovsky Somech alum, and the founder and leader of the consultancy and innovation company 'Generative AI for Good' and works with startups, including D-ID
“ in these challenging times, Israeli civilians and tech companies have turned to AI as both a beacon of hope and a means to stand firm against adversities. While some exploit AI to propagate fake news and chaos, many seize the opportunity to create a positive societal impact ”

“The innovative technology enables the creation of content that evokes involvement, raises awareness, and even generates empathy and personal experience,” writes Shiran Mlamdovsky Somech
